No ifs, ands, buts (maybe butts), about it. P is certainly undefeated, but when you get paid as much as O you should get your priorities straight. Yes, we all pay for it in one way or another, but O had plenty of time to work P in when needed, and still have time left to devote to more W's!

Maybe he wanted to "mutually part ways" so he had more time for P..? But sooner or later he will part with P and it most likely won't be a mutual agreement! He'll go out kicking and screaming! HA!!!!

LOL at thinking Myles fricking Brennan is worth a 4 game swing.

This board is ridiculous.

I think in 2020 he hired the wrong coordinators. I think in 2021 he hired the right ones, but reverted back to his old ways and butted in until we lost 4 or 5 games, and then went to his assistants and said, I give up do what you want to do. And they did. The End

It appears "O" stopped coaching. He could have remained as coach a few years longer if he would have tried to coach. It was obvious that many problems the last 2 years were due to a lack of coaching.
Also, it seems LSU did a better job coaching the last 4 games. They should have beat Ark and bama.

I'm glad "O" won a NC, but he should have stepped down if he did not plan to do his job.

What have you seen from Myles to assume he would've won all those games?

He can hit open receivers with more consistently. That’s all it would’ve taken.

371 passing yards, 3.7 TDS. 157.7 passer rating doesn’t count for anything according to that guy. Compare that to 234ypg, 2.2 TDS and a rating of 144.4 which is what our QB did this season and it’s a huge difference especially in this type of offense. It’s ironic someone would call other people ridiculous after making a statement as ignorant as the one that guy just made,

His actions got him fired but he sure isn’t acting heartbroken over it. He reminds me of a Friendly Rottweiler as long as he has food
and something to chew on he’s happy. LSU looked really unprepared overall and I think pure talent got us to 6 wins. With nominal coaching we should’ve won 9 ball games

There are some rumors that he wanted out after last year. The shite talking he did in the locker room after UCLA about “they can fire my arse” was absolutely true. I think he sandbagged on purpose. Once he got paid things turned around a bit.

He had it in 2019.

Lot of logic in that. His downfall was actually the persona that made him so likeable to begin with. His Cajun authenticity made him instantly likeable but also made him appear to be a rube that could be manipulated.
This persona caused others to not want to work for him and forced him to take third and fourth choices as coaches to run his team. These choices did not work out because there are not many diamonds in the last tier of coaching.

Do any of you read ? The off the field issues with player accusations…the fact that Coach O supported Trump publicly…. BLM March …. All were contributing factors for O’s dismissal. These effected player performance as well

Strongly disagree

Yea, not like his entire tenure at Ole Miss and al of his time here that didn't coincide with Joe Burrow were any indication. 0 was a fricking bum

The BS of being head coach at LSU may have been a deterrent. I don’t think he purposely bagged it, but I can imagine there may have been some complacency or resentment for lack of appreciation from fans. I will say I have probably developed the same thing from time to time at my job, so I would be a hypocrite to criticize. I just don’t have $30 mill in the back after the last five years, so I had to adjust or demotivate.

Had the want to win - ‘sure, who doesn’t?’

I agree with you. He also has the full ability to win but knows what it takes. He chose another path.

Yeah, we all hated 2019. I can understand why O got mad that he wasn’t appreciated.
