Do we know if Riley has any interest in the NFL?

Maybe some of the OU guys can answer this. An 8 year contract is a lot of years. I'd imagine if LSU thinks he has any serious interest in the NFL that there would be some language in the contract if he decides to leave. Any thoughts?

shite I didn't see the other thread about the NFL.

Cowboys and Lincoln have had rumors for awhile. It could be something he decides he wants to do down the road.

I don’t think we’re getting Riley but even if we do I’ll constantly be worried he’ll leave for the NFL.

NFL teams would never give any coach the money and years Riley is going to get.

For sure, he's uprooting his family, buying a house, moving, and then will do it all again in a few years...

That’s my thought. He wants to be Urban Meyer and move up. Mayfield wanted him in Cleveland, understandable but does also reveal that he may have that goal. Coming in and winning here would benefit us in the short run but Aranda feels like that long-term winner to me

Yes. He passed on the cowboys last time because he didn’t feel ready and hadn’t won anything in college. It’s been expected that once he wins a national title, and the cowboys job reopens, he’d take it.

If he comes to LSU and decides to test the NFL waters in a few years, so be it. Saban left for the NFL, and we won two more national championships with less-than-stellar coaches. We'll be fine.

I think if we're able to take away someone from their school with money, then an NFL team would be able to do the same to us. It'd be naive to deny that.

All good, young coaches have interest in the NFL. It’s the big leagues.

I’ve asked that question on the OU site and nobody can point to a direct quote or even someone close to him making a statement about the NFL.
