I was so excited about this game ever since I heard of it a couple years ago. And I am so disappointed now that it is out. sigh

I like it. very fun to play, space is the best stage. Tribe is probably the worst.

I'm disappointed it's so dumbed down and Nintendoized.
Spore built in the philosophy of Civilization = amazing
Spore built on the philosophy of the sims = too simple and boring after a few play throughs.
Most of the game is take option A or option B.. there's not a whole lot of freedom to do what you want in your universe, which was my impression when hearing of the game a few years ago.

I watched a review of it. I had assumed that it would be a lot more open ended than what it turned out to be.
Isn't that always the case, though?

Plus they chose a very poor DRM scheme that limits the number of installs you can do. It looked mildly interesting to me, but between the DRM stuff (that only hurts legitimate users BTW) and the mediocre reviews, I didn't give it a shot.
