I have to admit, the white out at Penn State looks frickin awesome. That said, why would anyone be opposed to adding yet ANOTHER level of intimidation to an already imposing Tiger Stadium by everyone wearing Gold? ... For ALL games.

ETA: From the responses in this thread, I think most agree a "purple out" against Georgia could be cool.

I almost think that the "Gold" game last night made the stadium seem emptier then it was.

The gold did not look good on TV. It looked like the stadium was empty. Just sayin'.

It'll be tough to ask for any kind of color coordination after mid October or so. Most people won't go out and spend the money for a gold/purple/white sweatshirt or jacket if they already have a grey or purple one which are the most common colors for sweatshirts and jackets.

My dad's an alumnus and a former player and he wears his non sports related beige windbreaker after October.

we did purple out a few years ago, can't remember the opponent...doesn't look that great. at night under the lights its difficult to tell the difference between purple, blue, and black...it just looks like everyone is wearing dark colors. it probably looked even less impressive on TV.
