Agree. The team loves it and there can be some opportunities to interact whith the players. I mean I've been going to LSU games since 72' and have been guilty many times of wanting to beat the traffic only to wait thru winter, spring and summer to set foot in the Mystque that is Tiger Staium. So I decided that when I'm there to squeeze every moment out of the privldge.

No I am very fortunate...but I started working when I was 15 I bought my first truck paid for the gas to go in it the insurance, my cell phone bill, and everything else I wanted and could afford....and yes I do feel when you start at the bottom and work your way up you do have a better appreciation for shite...that isn't always true but in my case yes!!!! Ohh and I also worked my way through college.

I love the student section but if they start the wave again they should take a few tickets away until the wave stops.

See i was with you except for this statement redfish...at 16 I was paying for a car, paying for gas, paying for insurance, and paying for my phone. I didn't really get any help from my parents. They couldn't really help either though. This is while playing football and working very little, so the struggles of paying the bills in high school is a pretty big learning curve I believe

thats really good and all, but how many hours did you work per week? i can't figure out how someone could pay for all of that in high school while playing sports.

edit: in high school i only paid gas and cell phone.

its not like i was paying electricity and cable and insurance like i am now

From on outside point of view I had to watch the game on tv. I live in Texas and towards the end of the game the stadium looked PATHETIC. Thats not how tiger fans look on national tv. Not every game is going to be a top ten match up with an Auburn like finish.

Think Tiger fans, particularly the young don't remember or didn't experience the Archer/Hallman/Dinardo days. That is why I hold on to ever thread of LSU information I can, LSU football is pretty much my "drug of choice." Remembering the Auburn 5 INT's in the 4th quarter in '94, Lou Teppers defenses of the late 90's ..........

yeah, maybe people are a little spoiled. It is a bit disheartening to watch it on TV with friends far away, telling them the legendary stories of TS and seeing the stadium empty out by the start of the fourth quarter

It is also against "Man Law" to leave a game early.

To make matters worse, The announcers did the walk with the players and praised the fan base as being special, then showed a lot of fans walking back up the hill way before the end of the game. They tried to soften the shot by saying that they were anxious to get back to their tailgate. I don't get it, but it's a free country. To be proud of our reputation is great, to maintain it is a privilege IMHO.

stop generalizing...if you don't have kids, you have little or no excuse leaving, but many of the people leaving (that I saw) have small children. Should we put up "you must be taller than" signs at the gates?

I think the players would much rather see a full stadium no matter what the score is, how much time is left, who they're playing, etc...the fans are SUPPOSED to be there to support the team, no matter how much money anyone does or does not have. I think the fans have a lot to do with how the team plays, if the fans are pumped the team is pumped, if they're flat the team plays flat. Like other posters, I stay until the very end of the game, even when getting our butts kicked 58 - 3 in the rain, I do whatever is asked of fans, including wearing those gold shirts - anything to support the players, after all, isn't that what we're here for?

What is better? Beating traffic by leaving with 7:58 left in the game, up by 10 against an SEC opponent, or staying to watch LSU beat an SEC opponent?

You didn't see the fine print on the back of the tickets? " YOU CAN NOT LEAVE EARLY UNLESS YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE- NO EXCEPTIONS ALLOWED "

By the way, I always stay until the end but you will never get people to agree with you. A cousin of mine will leave at half time almost every game. I don't understand it either but they enjoy doing that. They leave and go eat somewhere. ???? Don't ask me.

I stayed till the end. I wish more people would stay. I thought the crowd was generally pretty weak for our first SEC home game and considering the fact that state was playing us tough.

Yeah, I was extremely disappointed in the Fan Police, Saturday night, not doing a better job in stopping this.

You fellas sure are slacking lately.
