NASCAR became popular because the cars appeared stock (like something you could actually purchase and drive),
When was that? I never watched Nascar except for clips in ads promoting the next race, but even in the late 1990s they didn't look stock. Was it the 1960s?

Ama this they waited until the week before the last race to make the statement. They are hoping they can get their brownie points with the libs and that the rednecks will forget before February

Proud to say I haven’t watched a lap since Tony Stewart retired and would never go back. I was a season ticket holder at Bristol for years, never again!

How has any human being with a functioning brain stem ever watched Nascar?

It was still a thing in the mid to late 80s. The body style had to mimic (with certain allowed variations) a production car that was sold at dealerships. Look up the fastback Monte Carlo.

Think of how anti-climatic the Tour de France would be if the "leader" could cross the finish line behind 20 other cyclists, who he technically lapped.
you do realize the TdF winner can win the event without ever winning any single day’s stage?

watched NASCAR when Buddy Baker and Bobby/Davey Allison were rubbing doors …. that was racing…I couldn’t tell you what’s going on with NASCAR now.

I quit watching when it was no longer required that the cars be built from factory production cars and engines,

Keep in mind...the right no longer even has NASCAR and Country Music. While folks on the right, me included, were busy not worrying about cultural issues because we were too busy being the smartest assholes in the room with the best ideas that were more important than TV shows or movies or music or comic books, etc, the left was taking over all of them with the end goal of moving politics as it's downstream from culture. They were COMPLETELY right, and every time you see some story about "Superman is now gay" or some TV or movie star saying something stupid to their 10,000,000 followers and you scoff at it because you don't think it matters, remember this is exactly how we got here.

These institutions are 100% lost. There is no reforming them or getting them back. The goal for normal people has to be the total replacement of them. Start by deciding to stop spending money and time and support with people that fricking HATE you. Not all of your money and time...start with 51%. Ensure that you spend at least 51% of your money on people that either support your lifestyle and causes, or at least don't openly oppose them. The more that happens, the bigger they'll become and the more options you'll ultimately have. But if you continue to fully support those that hate you, you'll never give alternatives a chance to thrive.

I've got two liberal friends (married) that love Daytona. They go every year. They invited my wife and I to go along. I explained ..."I went to Daytona the first year I lived in Florida. Sat on row 2 in turn one. It was like sitting in a sand blaster all day. Grit and trash in your face ....the only thing interesting to me was when they had gone a few laps and were in sequence ...if you looked straight at the pack when they passed ...every color was a blur. Otherwise ..it would be like going to a Pro Football game. We had 50 yard line seats 20 rows up at the Bucs game, half way into the second quarter my wife asked "Can we go home?" Outside the stadium she commented "I was bored." my comment back "Too many Auburn Football games, you know what excitement is all about."

You guys are reading the code all wrong. They’ve banned “let’s go Brandon” chanting. Which is completely against the constitution and there’s nothing they can do about it.

NASCAR’s chanting LGB rule has nothing to do with the constitution, nor does it violate it.

I was hoping to give Lacrosse, Hockey, maybe even MLS a try at learning/supporting during covid, but they came out kneeling and all BLM so couldn't. These sports orgs pooped on a golden opportunity as they had a ton of people sitting at home looking for something new to learn, especially after getting pooped on by their competition.

I definitely stop spending money on team stuff over the last few years.

Any idea how much support/viewership has dropped off in the last decade or so?

The overwhelming majority of stock in American companies is owned either by the wealthy globalists, by millions o folks who invest in 401ks via a small handful of brokerage firms, or by government/union pension funds, once again controlled by that same handful of firms.

Because the price of stock is also based on algorithms that read twitter (I wish I was joking), the number of humans who actually have any kind of say in the value of every company in the U.S. can probably fit in a single ballroom at the ritz carlton, and all have blue checkmarks on their twitter accounts. Enough of them are demanding that everything be woke, so if you’re not woke, they’ll tank your stock price.

It’s not just stock price either. It’s advertisers, it’s search engines, it’s social media, web hosting sites, server farms, money lenders, etc. All demand woke obedience from their customers or those customers will be denied service. Government anti-trust folks have joined forces with these cartels rather than bust them up, so businesses are literally held hostage by cartels that have them by the balls so much that it is impossible to do business without them.

It all goes back to Twitter and AI. See, financial analysts around 8 years ago figured out that Twitter was an excellent source for finding out what ideas, products, and services were on the cusp of becoming popular. Investors built an algorithm to track twitter in order to figure out what to invest in, and it out-performed their traditional analysis. So, they started relying more and more on algorithms and less and less on traditional means.

Since then, almost all the large investment houses switched to this method, so much so, that they’re all watching each other. Twitter stopped being accurate about 5 years ago when there was a mass exodus of users as Twitter developed its own algorithms to silence conservative voices. But, the investment houses didn’t back off, but doubled down. As the pool of active users on twitter dwindled, the blue check mark retards became the overwhelming dominant voice. Thus, the blue check marks are who the algorithms listen to, and therefore control the value of every company. That’s why every company makes decisions based on what those morons think rather than what their customers think, but many of the blue check marks are literally AI bots created by marxist outfits and/or the intelligence agencies. Thus, the AI algorithms are no longer tracking twitter to discover what is profitable, they’re being told what’s profitable by other AI that are literally programmed by communists. The tail thus wags the dog.

But wait, it gets worse. Every major industry has adapted some form of AI to track trends, but all the algorithms are based off the wall street and/or twitter ones. So everyone’s models align, they’re all using the same garbage input, so they’re all coming to the same woke conclusions. Literally 90% (dollar value) decisions in investment is made by a very small number of blue check mark “journalists” based on what they’re “outraged” about today.
that's very compelling and interesting, but in the case of NASCAR, i always assumed it was much simpler than that--the woke alphabet channels play hardball, and if you want a contract for them to air your sport, you better be towing the line. so if NASCAR wants to stay solvent, what other choice do they have?

find me one sport aired on a major network that hasn't caved to wokeness to keep their bottom line from tanking.
