That was awesome, I wish something would’ve come out of it though. Basically nothing was gained, revealed, or accomplished in that whole meeting.

Oh I think something came out of it. It just hasn’t fully come to fruition yet. Roman and Shiv wanted to see what was offered and where they’d fit in the whole deal. Connor is just Connor ( ). I think they eventually end up trying to take down their Dad though, it’s just a matter of them getting the sack to do it. And given the donut power play, they’re too scared to do it right now. But I have a feeling something is going to happen (particularly for Shiv) that turns them sooner rather than later.

The wildcard is Marsha though. She’s going to end up fricking shite up with her demands. She’s desperate to have some power and she hates the kids.

Kendall is like you’re unwanted

And Roman with the absolute savagery off screen saying “ don’t you think he’s heard that enough his entire life”

I’m going to get downvoted for this but this show and the characters are becoming caricatures of themselves

It’s the same thing over and over: dad saying “you’re my favorite…not really” over and over while the game of musical CEOs and being “the one” repeats ad nauseam while Kendall tries to backstab daddy with meaningless grandiose word salad soliloquies only to self destruct

We get it by now - Rome likes to jerk off and acts like a 5th grader, Conner is detached and useless, Shiv is self-righteous, and Kendall is a poser. Everything and everyone is so over the top right now it’s a cartoon. There is zero character growth anymore.

What this show needs is a steady rise of a powerful leader that is in FIRM unquestioned control while the pieces are cleverly placed over multiple seasons by a worthy character to take said person down

And no, I’m not talking about the dad - he isn’t in firm control - all he does is sit around yelling about sucking dicks and eating shite for some odd reason

This show needs a Gus Fring and a bad character we actually cheer for to take him down

I still enjoy it but you're right, its becoming very rinse and repeat. Billions got like that and i bailed.

I agree with all of this. It could remain interesting if Greg’s documents come out and the bring the whole thing down. But going around in circles is boring.

I won’t downvote you, but I think it’s fair to point out we’re only in the second episode of the 3rd season. And they’ve had growth from the beginning.

Kendall has started to grow a sack, even if only through sheer self-preservation. Roman has become more savvy even if he’s still a twat at times. It’s been interesting to see how he operates after his overseas hostage situation. He doesn’t make that decision to not go private without growth at the end of the season. I think it was also a big move for him to recognize he’s not ready (unlike Shiv) and to concede to Jerri.

Shiv I think has digressed. She was in her element in the political realm and while she may be the smartest in the room in general she doesn’t know dick about business. And she’s far too sensitive to run a business like Waystar. But it’s still development.

Connor is just window dressing. Even though it was interesting to see him run to Kendall and recognize his Dad’s BS on the phone. That may be his growth.

I think most would agree with you. We are at a point in the show where we need a serious bid from someone to take it all over. It seems like they are making that person Kendall which is fine if they can show he has actually grown as a person. If its the same kendall we have gotten through 2 seasons its going to drain on people.

Agree. I have subconsciously lowered expectations and am mostly entertained by the quirky actions and witty dialogue but that will get old quick without something more substantive.

Seems like we’re reaching that all-too-typical TV series plot quagmire.

I think Stewy, Sandy and their crew are supposed to be the existential threat to the family regardless of the Roy sibling dynamics, but they focus so little on it that it doesn't seem important at all.

On a side note they just greenlit season 4 for the show.

I can’t see the show going much past that though at the pace we’re at.

The acting and writing on this show is so fricking top notch.
I don’t know if Kendall is back on drugs, but he’s so manic and full of shite.

I gotta say I agree that it seems to be dragging a bit. One of these characters needs to step forward . The entire second episode was the kids shite talking in the bedroom and Greg trying to figure out how to hire a lawyer. We need something more than just clever dialogue at this point

Yep, not a very good season to me so far. It's all "CEO,CEO,CEO, over and over again.

No other stories going on right now.

I did read in an article about that, one of the creators did indicate they felt S4 would probably be the last. But we all know what happens when money is thrown at them.

I think this season and one more would be perfect.

Another solid episode

Shiv getting visibly upset and angry showing the most emotion I think since the show started after Kendall blasted her big speech

Greg getting hoodwinked into buying a $40,000 watch that doesn’t even work

Connor - I want some sucky suck on my dicky dick

The last 15 minutes saved this episode from being the 3rd in a row of all the characters running in circles with nothing happening. Shiv finally picks a side and starts taking shots at Kendall, fbi showing up, and reality finally hitting Kendall in the face.

Seems like Tom is about to join Kendall’s side as well

Who was that security guy that told Kendall “I know you”?

Logan’s security/scary intimidator guy who knew about Kendall and the car wreck as he gives Kendall an update soon after it happens. That’s what he meant by that
