Honestly my toddler is never sick. Not since we started daycare. I expected worse when we got daycare cuz kids are nasty, but I guess with all this Covid mess they’re sanitizing all the time and everybody’s wearing masks and they don’t let parents in. It’s sort of like a little bubble. Idk, it’s hard to tell cuz the pandemic stuff. I don’t think she’s ever been sick, which is weird considering how often she puts her finger in her butthole.

Is it true they are either one or the other?
It only seems they are always sick. In reality, they arent always sick.

We are hopefully gonna get a positive pregnancy test next week.
The child will hopefully not get sick until he or she is born.
After that, who knows

My 5 year old has pretty much never been sick. He just started kindergarten and didn't go to school last year because of the covid bullshite.
I got a cold from someone at work, basically just an annoying cough, and gave it to him. But other than that he's been healthy.
I'm expecting him to get sick from kids at school, but it might not be the same as in the past because everyone is scared to send their kids to school if they are sick at all because of covid.

Most kids have to go through it to build immunity.
I'm a big believer in that as well. Be reasonable and responsible, but don't keep them in a bubble.
Now, something like chronic ear problems due to an inner ear abnormality or the like, different set of issues and must simply be addressed as soon as practicable.

My 6 year old is hardly ever sick. We had a span for about 3 years where she only saw her pediatrician for her yearly check up and that was it.
Started at a small licensed in home daycare at 9 months. Preschool at 3 and Kindergarten at 5. Breastfed for 13 months and I think that plays a big part in her having great immunity.

I have a 2 and a half yr old. He is fully natural (zero vaccines) and he has had 2 small colds that we passed onto him. My wife and he are vacationing in Europe. Wife got a two week cough/sore throat after the plane ride, while our child burned it off in 2/3 days. Religious exemption was a breeze to get which took a burden off my back, as I have been a victim of 2 vaccine injuries (child and in 20's). No daycare, yet, as my wife will be staying home with him till kindergarten.

My kids, (3 all under 8) get sick twice a year. In the spring when the tulip poplars come in and some time in fall. Never had ear infections.

So you sprayed guts 1-2 weeks ago and now you’re thinking about how often a kid gets sick?
Paint the nursery first, damn.

Freaking truth. I work from home and am sick a lot. I swear it's all the crap my kid brings home. He always has a runny nose and cough, but the pediatrician said that's pretty normal.

I have 4 (9, 7, 5 yr old twins). They all will get little bugs here and there until they're exposed enough to build immunity. There are plenty "fever" viruses that will scare the hell out of you when your kids spikes a fever, but all you can do is alternate/stack ibuprofen and tylenol. And you'll get sick too when they expose you to stuff you haven't been around since you were a kid. My 7 year old had five febrile seizures from 18 months to ~3 yrs; really scary but EMTs and docs aren't really phased by it. Good luck!

there. And as good parents, we held him out until he was free and clear from his sickness. Other parents clearly weren’t doing that because he wasn’t getting sick from healthy kids around him.
Funny how this works, yeah?
I always love going to a playground or the zoo and seeing some kid obviously fricked up with an illness while mom or dad sit on their phone on a bench.

Your kid hasn't had a runny nose in 5 years except for one time? Yeah, you're full of shite.
