Never have and never will. Just don't have a use for one. Not to mention, I can't stand carrying my phone and wallet in my shorts in the summer, much less a fricking pocket knife that I'll never use.

You can go pretty deep. Recently got a civivi pintail and like it. The gold standard of budget EDC is the ontario rat ii. Either aus 8 or d2 steel. I prefer d2 for the edge retention but it rusts. Aus 8 is good enough for 99% of folks out there.

I’ve got the elementum with D2. It got a little rust after I first got it but a little oil every now and then goes a long way

I lost my d2 rat in the gulf a few months ago. It had an awesome patina on it from all the deer I'd gutted with it. D2 is imo the best bang for buck knife steel

I have several but the Leatherman P4 gets carried the most. I gifted a buddy with one as a thank you for getting me a natty ticket in 2019. He enjoys his as well.

I used to carry a leatherman skeleton or similar with me, at least, until I forgot about it in my backpack at the airport and I was treated like the Unibomber. Was sad surrendering it.

I find this topic on the OT shocking every time it comes up. I know no one that carries a knife every day. I’ll carry one at the deer camp for a weekend, but I can’t see bringing one to the office daily or to a kids ball game. When would you ever use it?

I carry a spyderco delica or a Benchmade mini grip both serrated.
