Wife and I went so we ate breakfast in the condo but dined out for lunch and dinner. I know because of the location it’s going to be pricey but for your basic fried seafood and burger spot we are talking $25-$30 entrees across the board.

The most jarring was at Crabs on the Beach. Back in 2019 we went and I had king crab for $39. Was delicious and looked forward to getting it again.

Sat down two night ago and the king crab plate was $65. Absolutely insane. Waitress told me they are having major issues with seafood supply and delivery due to, of course, Covid.

Settled for the snow crab and shrimp and while everything was good, it was $36. Up from around $29 two years ago.

Also The Grand Marlin and Drift were expensive but the food was delicious, elevated, and very much worth it.

If you haven’t noticed from reading this board all crab prices are way up in the last 6 months
And the whole country is seeing general inflation on almost everything

Crab prices and proteins and cheese in general are all high right now. Feel grateful to get what you can. It’s not just Pensacola.

Purveyors were calling me telling me they got a deal
on snow crab at 16 a pound. Dungeness was 18.75. It’s all a mess. Will be for a time unfortunately.

1.5 lbs of King is $113 in Kiln MS, I’d say $65 is a good deal.

Very high. Never been a big hunter but might see if I can find my way onto a friends property for venison or pork.
