I don't know if it is conclusive, and I agree that shite is back and forth, not catching covid twice is real as shite and, while anecdotal, the only two I know to have it twice have gotten way worse symptoms the second time.
I'm not shaming anyone who doesn't want the vaccine. To each their own. I think people have reverted to shaming rather than educating, which is a product of our time.
I will say if this shite was going after portly middle aged white dudes at the same rate as the elderly we would have a much different reaction.

A couple of months ago Mayo who is well respected for medical studies posted a study that found roughly 52,250 patients tested that had Covid, had the same antibodies as if someone got the shot. Facts from a reputable study. I do not care if you get the shot or not. Just like it’s nobody’s business if I got it or not. I have my card with my info and I wear the mask they say, even though it does nothing.
Btw, I had a great sliced Turkey sandwich on wheat with Mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato’s, and sliced onions.

Sadly "scared" is the right word. Scared that people on the internet may shame them and downvote them for getting vaxxed so they regurgitate a bunch of karen chain email talking points in defense. It's one thing to be scared of potential vaccine side effects (nevermind that the virus itself has documented side effects), another to be scared people on TD might call you a libtard sheep for getting a vaccine.

Really? Care to explain?

According to my medical professional, catching Covid twice, while not impossible, is highly improbable. The odd are astronomical. Not my words.

You can catch covid more than once. Pretty damn common knowledge this far into it.

I don't know. My vaccination status is a direct reflection of my laziness, and I am pretty lazy.
I just don't make excuses about it.

that's fair man. I have friends and relatives who havent gotten it for various reasons I consider to have some validity even if I disagree with their choice. If you’re say, a healthy 35 year old I get why you wouldn’t have rushed out to get it. As you say, just don't make excuses or be willfully ignorant. Ex: refusing to get it because Biden is pushing it, what will the OT think, conspiracy nonsense, or easily debunked rumors. And sorry if I'm being a dick to LL but 90% of what she is claiming is just BS and it's why she's getting called out.

Getting called out? Where?
I'm legit just asking questions based on all of the contradictory things I've read the past several week. Sorry if I chose the wrong words? All I've seen the past few days are how vaccinated people are spreading Covid, so I was asking how or why does the vaccine factor in to keeping restaurant staff and patrons safe if being vaccinated doesn't stop it from being spread? Wouldn't the better requirement be negative testing? (Which GG pointed out isn't perfect either)
Like FT, I haven't been vaccinated out of laziness. Same reason I've never had a checkup before, same reason I've never had a flu shot before, and same reason I drag arse on scheduling the 1 annual doctor visit I have to schedule each year so I can get a prescription refill I'm just lazy.
I don't know or care what Biden is pushing. You wayyyyy have me wrong. I've said from day 1 I'll get the vaccine whenever a need for it arises in my life, or the opportunity basically throws itself in front of me. I made little effort to rush out and get it at 30 years old and healthy, but I don't know why that is worth shaming people over, which lots of people seem to be doing now. Which only pushes those people further away from doing it.
I also don't understand how we can expect people to not be confused when you can find a breaking news article from the past few weeks that backs pretty much any position out there. There's no conclusive answer being agreed upon right now, or anything close to it, it seems.
I don't blame people for being confused. And even more, I don't blame people for being upset at places that have decided to make private medical decisions a factor in something as simple as dining out. If staff are vaccinated and customers who want to be vaccinated are vaccinated, I guess I don't understand the requirement that everyone be.

I tend to agree but this would be incredibly difficult to prove.
How so? You show them the positive test result and the fact that you are currently not dead prove that you beat it.

I’ve got to get some fresh air. This is one of the worst thread experiences I’ve ever had.

Yes the 10 percent of vaccinated people who still get it can spread it as opppsed to the 100 percent of unvaccinated people. If you can’t understand the utility of limiting the percentage of spreaders by 90% then you are too far gone.

People will say that it is because the vaccine isn't approve, they are healthy and won't get too sick, it isn't worth the risk....
All of those have counterarguments that prove they don't really believe in those ideals. Mostly, it seems like people don't want to trust something they haven't seen work. But they won't reveal some timeline barrier that will make them change their mind.
It's way simpler than that. It's pure politics, at least for the anti-vaxers who post on here. If Trump had advocated wearing masks and vaccinations, they would be all about it. They just don't want the liberals to be right. This board, and most of the others on here, are all just slightly watered down versions of the Politics Board, which is one big Trump Rally echo chamber.
