It's a good comparison but Clyde did some stuff because of his football IQ not his physical abilities. If Armoni has Clyde's football wits, he's going to be special.

Then you've obviously never been close to someone that had it.

What usually holds them back is learning the blocking responsibilities, when to forget about the play action that was called because an unblocked corner blitz is happening and he has to immediately block THAT instead of faking into the A gap, etc.

These plays don't show up on the stat sheet, but coaches are aware of them and NFL scouts are very aware of them. No disrespect to running backs, but the NFL considers them disposable. They would rather lose 5 RBs during the season and cobble together whatever they have to in order to fill those slots than to lose a starting QB for even a couple of games, under almost all scenarios.

If he can learn the offense, blocking assignments, he will be ahead, because he has the wheels and hands for this offense.

I saw him play several games in HS. It’s freaky how he shoots between tacklers and leaves them behind.

I'm liking the way they think. I've said this for months now, but I expect him to be a nice part of the offense as a true freshman.

Hi guys ! All running backs look pathetic when your offensive line doesn’t execute blocking schemes well

I'm sure you don't remember Gale Sayers, but you should remember Barry Sanders.

His vision and zig zagging reminds me of Dalton Hilliard.

I remember watching Barry Sanders get held to -1 yd net rushing as a Detroit Lion.

Blocking and some passing threat matter.

He spent his entire career at Detroit and was the most successful running back in the history of the NFL, until he retired, then E Smith passed him.

Goodwin highlights
He obviously has the raw tools and seems very advanced in technique for high school. He runs with confidence, patience, has great instinct and vision, and is already a thread as a receiver out of the backfield. Very impressive.
