Should interview these athletes prior to awarding them a spot on the team and get a feel for their attitude toward the country that they will be representing on the world stage. If they show disdain or dislike for their country tell them to hit the road.

Can it be any more obvious that this is designed to be political theater? Assuming this is their most recent match, I find it absolutely pathetic that they stood for the national anthem when the World War II veteran played it on his harmonica (probably because they feared the optics had they knelt), but knelt when it was generically played over the speaker system.

I’m not sure why people are doubling down on this story. I get that it looked to be the case, but there is enough doubt in my mind to dismiss the original story.
These commie whores deserve every bit of shite that life can throw at them. They have done more than enough to earn my derision.
I don’t, however, need half-truths and rehashed stories to despise them as a team. As a team supposedly representing the USA, respecting the flag is a mandate in my mind. To disrespect the flag as an athlete representing America is a line that simply cannot be crossed...period.
