How long before Boutte and Stingley are in a Cane's Commercial/Billboard on I-10?

Something with Todd Graves asking Stingley which combo he'll pick (he'll pick six chicken fingers in a Caniac of course) and asking Boutte which combo he's grabbing. Idk The elements are all there. I'll take my finders fee Todd.

Didn’t LSU release the rules and boosters are out? I’m sure Graves would count as an LSU booster

Only as it relates to recruiting or keeping a player enrolled.

So, as long as they're current students, they can have as much communication with them as they want.

Just can't leave a paper trail prior to enrollment/when trying to convince them to come back for their senior year.

That's actually pretty creative with the pick 6 idea

I read this in an advocate article, so I had to read the information very quickly before the popup came up.

i'll try and copy and paste it in.
quote:

The policy says "athletics boosters are prohibited from creating or facilitating NIL compensation opportunities" for prospective players as a "recruiting inducement," and it also says boosters are prohibited from being involved in NIL deals with current players "as an inducement to remain enrolled."

Athletics boosters are defined within the policy as "a person or entity that has participated in or has been a member of an organization promoting a postsecondary education institution's athletic program."

Basically, there can't be an agreement, on record, that gets say Derek Stingley to skip the draft and stay around for his senior year.

So what happens when some players are raking in the dough and others aren’t? Like the linemen that many can’t name?? Kinda like at fan day in the old days when some had long arse lines and some had no one.

Animosity? Team isssues?

Anyone think it’ll be an issue??

I could see a lot of local restaurants offering the little known players some advertising bucks.

No the opposite. Boosters can participate in NIL as long as to not to procure to school and compensation not contingent on performance.

If they disallowed boosters they would take away majority of NIL opportunities

You guys are looking at this in such an old school way. NIL will not mean you will see a lot of commercials with athletes. You will see some but majority of the money will come from being an influencer on social media platforms.

I'm just wondering how long it takes for Gordon McKernan to have his name mentioned in a post game interview.

CBS: "Myles how was it you were able to rally the team around you to go out in the second half and grab a comeback win?"

Myles: "At halftime we were down but I knew we weren't out. I just got the guys around me in the locker room and I told them that we needed to fight. I would fight for them and they would fight for me, the same way that Gordon McKernan will fight for anyone who has been involved in an automobile accident"
