My (white) buddy’s wife is black, and she’s great on stuff like this. She’s a bit liberal for my taste and from time to time says things that are a bit of a stretch to me, but for the most part she LOL’s at both sides and thinks we’re all idiots for placing this much emphasis on race.
She also made her company look like a fool once when they put her on some zoom call to talk about what things at the company were like “from a black woman’s perspective” and she was sorta like “ummm Idk, same as for everyone else”.
She said they did NOT like that lol.

I have a friend who is a middle to upper middle class black guy. He and his wife both work professional jobs and are educated. He grew up more "privileged" than me (in regards to household income, etc...), had two parents in his home, all of his siblings went to college, etc...
I've talked to him about this and he believes it. When I ask him about his own life, he claims that he's an outlier. It makes zero fricking sense, so I just don't talk to him about politics or race
ETA: he also didn't grow up in the "black community" our high school was maybe 10% black, and I doubt his current neighborhood is majority black. The majority of his friends are white, but he still thinks the white person is the boogeyman, it baffles me

The majority of black kids I went to high school and associated with have gone on to be pretty successful people and live normal lives judging by their FB. Out of that group, there are a handful that are on the woke train. Not full on CRT probably, but I have seen some rants from a couple of them that had a better upbringing than I did and are very successful, family oriented people (mostly the women) that makes me wonder what reality they are in. Because their rants do NOT mesh with actual reality in their specific cases. It's pretty wild to see people who I know for a fact grew up with more privilege, money, and opportunity than a good many of their white peers, bitching about white privilege.
But you could pretty much tell when they were kids, which ones were gonna do something with their opportunities and which ones would never leave the hood. Same goes for the white kids I grew up with. It pretty much boils down to the parents and what value system those parents instill into those kids.

Throughout the history of America whites have massacred blacks and burned down their communities whenever they tried to have and do it on their own. From Tulsa, Oklahoma to Wilmington, North Carolina, to Ocoee, Florida to Chicago, Illinois. Whites have a hatred for blacks for reasons unknown and it’s amazing how America see black people as the violent ones.

My old lady's company did the same thing. Volun-told her to join a diversity and inclusion group that she did not want to join to gain her perspective. My wife is republican and doesn't agree with half the shite they want her to pander to.

I’m glad you brought this up. I’m thinking the same thing. I went to the post office the other day and it was in a black community/neighborhood and EVERY black person had a mask on! And this was long after restrictions were lifted. I cannot imagine that this is “virtue signaling” so what is it? Are they really afraid? Who is behind this? I’m puzzled why they are adhering SO strictly to the mask thing. It’s crazy. Can someone explain this phenomenon ?
