This is a pretty good one too. But “eight arms to hold you” had some decent songs.

REO Speedwagon - hi infidelity
They were a different, better band before this album. Hi Infidelity was basically a pop record.

This was not a single

I have not only the single, but also a CD by the Smiths called "Singles" and How Soon Is Now is the sixth track.

I feel like the "Horrible bands" bands part is getting lost in here.

yeah - thats why I qualified my GnR statement. While I don't think they're horrible, I think they had only one great album and the other ones were very uneven/crappy.

I really couldn't think of any band that qualified for the OPs question.

I think there are two distinct groups of The Smiths fans. You have those who aren’t aware of much outside of “How Soon Is Now” and are really casual fans, then you have the hardcore group that have many who own everything Smiths, Morrisey, and Marr

What about people who have everything Smiths and Marr but don’t really care for Morrisey’s whining solo garbage.

Me neither. To me, if they produced one great album, they can't be horrible.

Their debut album (A Fever You Can't Sweat Out) is great.

I would offer an obscure one.. Finch. "What It Is To Burn" is incredible

Unpopular opinion: Room on Fire is the only Strokes album that I enjoy front-to-back

I agree that Room on Fire is a better album front to back than Is This It. That in itself is an unpopular opinion. But Is This It is still a damn good album. So The Strokes shouldn't be included in this thread if the discussion is for bands with only one good album, imo.
