I love how this is the end all be all answer on this board for EVERYTHING like it’s a revolutionary idea.
That's because it is.

I posted range of drives because like everyone else I have a range, low end vs high end, most drives I hit are in between those numbers, probably 275-285, the problem with posting that is then 10 people come in saying “you don’t hit it that far blah blah” because for whatever reason everyone on this board thinks everyone else is lying.
275-285 is fine, but what are your spin numbers? Ball speed? Launch angle? Are you leaving distance on the table because your current driver spins it too much for your swing? Are you maxed out now because your current driver gives you optimal launch/spin/ball speed? How do we know?

Sorry for the rant, it’s just annoying when every club, swing, or advice post gets the automatic response is “GO GET FITTED”, like its so
But do you? Which Mavrik are you asking about? There are literally 3 different models, more if you include the diamond ones. You're asking a board full of people who know nothing about you or your swing and launch characteristics to give you advice on a driver that has multiple different models for different golfers, and we're the ones who are getting grief?

I've got the Epic Speed woods. They're money

no man you’re proving my point by WAY overthinking this shite.
My question was whether the Mavrik driver was legit and had other people experienced big jumps in distance and results with it, pretty simple.
Not everything has to be an in depth analysis of spin rates and launch trajectory.

Hey dick
Fitted meaning get a new driver. I don’t recommend anyone buy any new driver without getting fitted. How am I supposed to know that you made up a range of driving distance because people would believe you hit it 280? My point was new drivers are much more forgiving and that’s why they go “longer”.

what in the flying figgidy frick happened to this thread...let the guy live his damn life, if he wants to get fit he would have done that, instead he wanted to ask an internet forum their opinions...Gees get off the guys nuts and let him live.

I play a Maverick also. I also changed the stock shaft to the shaft I was fitted with in my Rouge Sub Zero, which produced much better results. Most of the stock shafts the manufacturers put in these clubs are cheap one size kinda fits all shafts. But, it may be good for you. Who knows. Don't knock getting fitted. You will notice improved results with a shaft fit for your swing. Now, if you have a Trackman and 10 or 20 shafts laying around and have an understanding of the numbers each shaft produces, no need to get fitted, you can do it yourself. lol

I've hit them all and I hit the Mavrik the longest.

It depends which driver your buddy switched from. Most new drivers will hit longer and straighter than older drivers with the R&D that goes into them. Pretty much all of the Callaway drivers are "legit", but as others have said, there are several different models/submodels for each driver, made for different types of swings.

I have a 7-8 year old Taylormade RBZ,
That’s a good shelf life for a driver.
Technology has changed in 8 years and you may find something that improves some aspect of your driving.
Father’s Day is coming up.
If you have kids maybe you can get the wife to spring for a Club Champion Driver fitting.
