told them, and the guy recommended never using them again because of how thin the windshield was that they put in. He said I was lucky it didn't shatter.

I believe they use OEE but you can request OEM.

I used them once, the last time I had to replace a windshield. They came to the house to do the work. No hassles. I’d use them again.

I would suggest calling around. When my window shattered about a year ago. I called Safelite and their quote was about $200 more than a local small business in my area. Of course I went with the local business.

I did and had no problems. I found a trick to saving some money with them by accident. I canceled my first appt with them online via the change my appt link or something similar to that. A few weeks later they emailed me with a code saying if I reschedule with the savings code I’ll get 20% off. It worked.

there's a big issue these days with autobraking sensors. They have to be recalibrated after the new windshield is put in and that's an added cost.

1st time had to get a small chip replaced. Simple and quick.

2nd time I had to bring it to them to replace my windshield. It was going to take a while, so they got me an Uber back home. Sent another to pick me up and bring me back. No charge. It was great. :)
