I worked in the auto glass industry for many years. Most of the mom and pop stores buy their windshields from Satellite. There is only like 3 or 4 big autoglass distributors. So that's a total false statement about Safelite windshields being thin.

I have heard that the glass they use is thinner than factory and tends to crack more easily.

Only thing they tried to sell me was new windshield wipers.

Great experience. Came to my house to replace busted window the same morning it happened.

I've used them twice and they were great. I need to get them again because some a-hole in an uncovered dump truck slung a rock and put a nice big chip in the worst, most annoying spot.

Yes. I have had two windshields replaced by them and both cracked when the first thing hit it. One was a stick. They use cheap glass. I would never use them again.

They replaced a windshield in my truck with a different style upper tint than was the stock glass. Different manufacturer obviously, and I liked the original better. Guess I learned to make sure what I'm getting before hand next time.

they do good work, but when the hot weather comes your mirror will fall off. they'll put it back on as many times as it falls off. maybe they changed glue since i've used them. i switched to national. mirror never fell off after the switch.

I had to cancel an appointment with them one time when they pulled a bait and switch on me. They quoted me a price on replacement, it was a decent price, I scheduled the service. The morning of the appointment, the confirmation email had a price $200 higher than the original quote. I canceled immediately and found a different company. That shite don't fly.

Used them once. Replaced the windshield in the parking lot at my office. Convenient, did good work, price seemed good and no extra fees added

They’re good until they have to cut a piece of glass to fit. We have a few older box trucks for work and it will require them to make multiple trips for those trucks.

I had it done a few weeks ago. Hassle free and excellent work. No complaints whatsoever.

We used them to replace my wifes windshield. They came out to our house and changed it under the carport.

Isn't Safelite a franchise? Meaning some local mom and pop probably own said franchise.

I used them probably 5 to 6 years ago. I thought they did a great job until I went to the carwash several days later. Had a major leak in the upper corner of the windshield on the passenger side. They fixed the issue, apparently the Tech who installed it did not seal the windshield correctly. The windshield itself has held up pretty good. Probably will not use them again because of the incorrect installation.

Used them twice in the last year. Always on time, and they text you when they are on their way. In an out in an hour or so and you pay after the work is done. They come (for like a $25 fee) to your house. Make sure you use one of the always available coupons.

Work has always been fine, no issues whatsoever.
