I think his resume speaks for itself. We’re probably one of the only schools that could pull him away from Vandy.

Don’t care too much if he’s an arse, but isn’t he kinda old too?

Cliff Godwin would be an excellent hire. Runs a hard nose program and is starting to see a lot of success. Also very familiar with the program. People put too much stock in alma mater.

Mike Bianco

..Played for Bertman
..coached for Bertman,
..he wins at ole miss,
..lsu has better resources and recruiting power than ole miss

He would get results about a full level higher than his success at ole miss simply because we are lsu..ask Ben...its a no brainer and WILL happen when the time is right.

End of story

If Riser wasn’t coaching at at school in LA, his name would never be posted here

I love the fact that a ton of great coaches cut their teeth in LA. Van Horn comes to mind. Riser is young and talented no matter how you look at it. To do what he has done at SLU makes him a great potential hire. He was one Bama looked at hard when they had their opening.

If McDonnell /Vitello/ Bakich isn’t the next head coach then Woodward did a piss poor job

I’m sure he will be but he’s coaching at his alma mater where he’s very capable of winning a NC

Bianco will bring consistency to the program like he has done at Ole Miss. Sign a Top 5 class every year and watch the World Series on TV

Paul Mainieri is finished. LSU will have crowds smaller than when Lamabe was coach of he's allowed to continue.

Thoughts on Terry Rooney? He used to recruit for LSU and had a good reputation with the coaches, as far as knowing/projecting talent. I know he went to UCF for a while, but have lost track since.

Van Horn went to Arkansas from Nebraska. Not exactly a baseball powerhouse.

Took Nebraska to two CWS in 5 years there

Louisville made the NCAA tournament one time in its history before Dan McDonnell was hired in 2007 and now they've made the tournament every season except one from 2007 to the Covid season and they've been to Omaha five times. That's who you send a blank check to.

But those exact same if not better results; is what has ours fan screaming for PM’s head. So why hire someone that would get the same results; much less throw a blank check at him...?

How many times had LSU been to the ncaa tournament when Paul was hired?

Why is that anything of significance? It’s a new season and year every year....
Baseball is vastly different than football, what matters is what he’s done while being a HC... and his results/success’s are the same/comparable to PM; so why write a “blank check” AND pay a buyout just to hire a coach that has shown the ability to provide the same success you have already had from the coach just fired.
