Bama crushed us two times we lose by one this time and almost had the ball go in to win it. I’m proud of LSU. We are a scary team going to the dance.

They’re kids, they make some boneheaded plays especially when some of them never come out. We need more bench minutes to keep the big 4 from wearing out. We really struggle late in halves and that’s gotta be corrected. Even if you bring in a Cook or a Wilkinson, who both played 0 minutes, for 2 minutes on either side of a timeout you’re getting people rest.

Bama has a lot of boneheaded possessions too.

Difference was their ability to drive to the rim and grab offensive rebounds. Hustle plays.

I wouldn’t cheer for Bama if they paid me. It’s just incredibly frustrating to lose a game like that on a simple non-talent issue.

Honestly, I see our guys going for rebounds and many times they were two guys going up against Bama's 1 guy by the goal, but I feel that LSU does not fundamentally know how to box out well and they often mistime their jump, so the one guy on the other time ends up with the rebound too often.

Even though I reject your premise that the team is low IQ, wouldn't a low basketball IQ be considered a "talent issue"?

Watford is soft and Hyatt is small. It’s not rocket science, we’re small and Wade refuses to correct it.

Ok,I've seen this said before. Smart has led the sec in assist to turnover ratio both years that he started at point guard . Not to mention the 21 points tonight, thos huge back to back 3s to go from down 5 to up 1 instantly almost.

So you have one of the highest scoring point guards in the nation, who also has the best assist to turnover ratio in the last two years. What else does he need to do to be a true pg?

Great effort today, just too many bad plays to overcome.

Exactly...ZERO offensive movement... Its eithr Thomas Smart or Watford... They do not move without the ball... But I will say that Watford played his arse off today and was effective... Days needs to work on getting to the rim instead of thorwing it up ......

He has been but he wasn't in the tournament.

His biggest issue is he tends to make lazy passes, which killed the last play.

I still think hes a great point guard though.
