I think it would be smart to move the game instead of postponing.
1. It is still unsure if the storm will hit.

2. It will nearly impossible to make the game up.

Without a doubt, a football game should not be #1 priority but at the same time you cant just up and cancel a big event like this.

Ideally that would work but you cant just start moving the schedule around. Maybe North Texas wants the day off. Maybe App St dont want to plan another trip to BR.

This whole thing is stupid to cancel the game or move it up. Latest tracking has it just passing Cuba Sunday morning. THAT'S 2 DAYS AWAY. And these stupid forecasters have been wrong so many times over the years. The thing is not even definitely coming for us. Just play the game AS SCHEDULED and if Sunday the storm IS coming for us then that 2 whole days to do something about it.

So here's what I'm thinking
Move the game up, if nothing else it won't be as hot possibly so we all won't die of heat exhaustion, lol. Anyways, move the game, then allow people to go home and decide what they are going to do and go into absolute panic mode if they deem it necessary. Like it has already been said, you can't even begin to predict exactly WHERE Gustav is going until it hits the Gulf and then we still really don't know.

According to Mike Edmonson (State Trooper) a day or two ago, if they need to implement contraflow, they need to begin at least 55 hours prior to landfall. Now, I would assume that would be landfall of outer bands, not the eye. If the storm continues to move at it's current pace, the game should be able to be played at the originally scheduled time of 4:00 PM and not interfere. However, hindsight being 20/20, after the debacle that was Katrina, you could see where officials would be a little gun shy about this storm.

No way this game is canceled. The storm is moving at a snail's pace. At the rate it's going it won't hit louisiana until next Friday.

When do we start worrying about the Saints / Bucs game which is much more important than LSU/Div II or LSU/Troy?

Well, I believe the only thing announced from the Saints is that if necessary they will practice in Indianapolis. So who knows, the track changes everyday, we may as well just sit here, go enjoy the game tomorrow (whatever time it's played) and then go home and pray/watch the TV watching and figuring out whats gonna happen w/Gustav ...

Nice attempt Alejandro......For what it's worth, I'm already worried about next weekend's games (saints and lsu).

Well I don't but apparently that guy above me is so yeah ... I'm a Steelers fan so I'm irrelevant in this area, pro football wise, at least I have college to redeem me.
