Some kids practice well. Some kids are gamers. Sadly you never know until they play in a game.

You could pretty clearly see he was nervous. In his first at bat he swung and missed three times. He wasn’t overpowered. He saw the pitches. He wasn’t fooled. But he was so uncomfortable he just missed.
He will settle down.
