Facebook is up to something

My wife and I both were told that “our session had expired” and we were forced to sign back in. Hundreds of our friends are reporting the same thing. I wonder what they are up to??
We have a business we run through Facebook and is really the only reason we use it.
Update: looks like this has happened too many people nation wide. We all need to check our mic and camera settings to make sure they can’t listen in etc.

Same here for me and my girlfriend. Thought it was weird since I have not had to log in since I got a new phone a year ago

Just curious, are you using older phones? Someone else I know is dealing with this continually. Their iphone is around 3 years old, but is updated.

Sounds like they are mitigating a data breach of passwords. If not that then there was a large enough number of compromised accounts to warrant you all to change your login creds.
Who is hacking them is the real question.
