One and I miss him. One of the coolest guys ever.

One. A parent of one of the kids I work with that I knew pretty well. African-American, in her 30s. Good shape (played college basketball and still played with a rec group/worked out). Really active in the community here, was a huge loss.

Know personally, 0. Our pastor that just retired last year looks like he's about to be the first though.

One patient who was in her early 60s but very healthy and one distant relative I had only met once not sure what his health was like honestly but he was older. Would he have died this year without Covid, probably not, but who really knows.

5. Three of them have passed away on the last month. I currently have two friends on ventilators.

4 deaths. All older than 70.
Some really bad medical outcomes including one paralysis which is bizarre and a total outlier.
One who is still fatigued after 3 months. One still no taste after 5 months.

I don't know any that have died. Only know 1 person who is hospitalized.

Cases like this are tough if you are looking at it just “on paper” obviously the lung condition contributed to it. But then ask yourself would that person have died anytime soon without Covid. I guess the answer is you really have no idea. But I’d wager he would have lived much longer.

I’d say normal is about 0-1.

Depends on what one considers a Covid death.
First attributed one I am aware of was an 80+ year old coonass already in bad health for years.
Next big one I can think of was someone whose body was eaten up with staph and everything was shutting down but Covid was also present. They were likely in their 70s.
And after that, it was an 80+ year old woman who was relatively frail.
In general, it tends to very old and people already in bad health. This just tends to be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Careful, that kind of thinking will get a man slaughtered around these parts.
