Why? Because he had a good offense in Denver one time with Peyton Manning?

This is the absurd part of social media. There wasn't some mass cry of "bias" against ESPN. It was one dildo with a blog looking for clicks.

I abhor social media because it COMPLETELY skews perspective. One person's opinion, in a country of 330 million people...in a world of 7 billion, is given significance all in the name of "clicks".

A more realistic headline would be "ESPN Accused of Racial Bias by one person looking to get attention, while millions could not give any less of a shite about how ESPN reported the firings."

Social media is a cancer that allows stupidity, absurdity, virtue signaling and discontent to metastasize at an alarming rate.

They also reported the Dolphins fired OC Chan Gailey, but that was false.

Somehow they were duped by a fake Schefter account.

It's not weird if the "parting of ways" was a negotiated buyout and settlement of the contract, and the "firing" was not. Both can happen, and are different ways to terminate someone depending on their willingness to negotiate the termination.

although I haven't read into the terminations of any of these guys, there's also a difference of when it's done from a contractual standpoint.

if someone is let go while they're under contract, that's getting fired.

if the contract has ended, and is not renewed, that can be accurately described as "parting ways" or something similarly benign.

all that said, I'm not sure any company deserves this more than ESPN. they totally deserve this.

Yeah it’s really lazy shite they all do now. A writer/blogger gets there feelings hurt, does a Twitter search for 3-4 like minded idiots, boom you have your “________’s comments cause outrage”

And then you get clicks from the perpetually offended and the folks always offended by the offended

Or could it be they worded it differently so as not to be repetitive and formulaic?

The woke crowd is truly eating their own when they call out an organization like ESPN. You hate to see it.

I think there's a number of conclusions one could come to before jumping to racism, especially from ESPN

I look at it in the same way as Jim Belushi’s departure from SNL circa 1983.

SNL announced it as “creative differences.” Belushi’s retort was “I was creative, they were different.”

In this case, the Jets parted ways because they wanted an NFL coach and not Adam Gase.
