Two ~40 pound Mini Aussie Shepherds. Got them within 6 months of each other. They are the best of buds and keep each other entertained while we are working.

One of the better decisions we’ve made was getting the second pup so soon after our first

No one. There’s an international limit of one dog per household.

Friend of mine always maintains 2 dogs and I’ve taken care of all 6 over the years. Trouble can occur when one dies of course but you can get through that with planning. It’s when the older one has bad habits that you’ll really have a problem. And then the younger will eventually be the older so the problem lives on. Moral is don’t allow bad habits in any of them.

I had two dogs when I was single. I started dating this girl with two dogs. Next thing I knew I had four dogs around most of the time.

Then I got married. A couple of years later I had a kid and 4 dogs. Fun times.

At first I thought you were an a-hole but then found out you weren’t. Short roller coaster ride there.

Is your current dog not happy with you as an owner? How many cats do you have?

You have to wait until its 8 weeks old? And you must be a trustworthy guy. You paid someone weeks in advance for a dog? What if someone contacts them and offers double of what you paid for the dog and they sell it? Do you have anything saying your money would be returned?

We have 2 45lb dogs. One a shepherd mix and the other is a husky mix. The key is a doggie door. Best invention ever for working people.

I mean unless you want to bottle feed a dog

I’d like to wait until it can eat puppy food

Jesus man it’s a fricking dog not a second wife. You can just drop that bitch off in Walker. Not like you gotta bury her behind the levy like a wife.

Calm down, Chad and English please

A second dog is great for the first dog. Keeps them much more active.

Biggest problem with a second dog is that it's a lot harder to find someone to watch two dogs than one.

Two Great Danes - #1 is 160lbs and #2 is 140lbs. Two dogs that think they are lapdogs and spoiled as hell. IMO getting a second dog always balances the dog behaviors out.

We owned a miniature dachshund for 18 years as the only dog.

We now own 2 rescue dogs and they seem much more well adjusted when we leave them alone and come home.

Dogs are pack animals and they don't like being alone. I would recommend having a pair over one alone.
