Carlos Carson 5 TD's in 1977 vs Rice...hands down! Oh....his first catch in the next game (can't remember the team) was for a TD too. 6 TD catches in a row...now that's special.

You know, it's because of the whole highlight, ESPN era that we forget players like Carson and performances like that - it was vs. Rice, but it was a great performance.

Not to mention a thing of beauty to behold. The TD receptions in the Rice game tied the NCAA record for most TD receptions in a single game. It was Rice, but still a phenomenal performance.

LSU 77 Rice 0 Carson 5 TD catches
LSU 36 Florida 14 Carson 1 TD catches

What also makes that record so incredible is that it was 6 STRAIGHT, CONSECUTIVE catches.
