Bought that exact watch with black dial / bezel about 18 months ago. Still love it and get lots of compliments on it. Great all around watch for daily wear and all occasions.

Nice grab. I have a habit, too.
Hahahahahahahaha give me a break, worse than guns, knives, etc...
I had a bad habit for a while, kicked it around 2015, lately been into high end US-made or british-made boots. Work, woods, or formal, they are an even worse habit than watches.

I’ve got the orange bezel version. Had it for six years. Really enjoy it. Omega makes great watches.

Slight thread hijack...
Where should I go in Baton Rouge for repair on a tag 1500 series. Keeps good time, but the date doesn’t work. Purchased at lee Michaels in 1995. I took it there a number of years ago, but they said they couldn’t work on it.

I have a few watches but no Lux watches yet. I spend around 200-300 on mine and feel happy with it. Eventually I will get into the higher price ranges, just cant justify it yet :/

You can send your tag directly to them. Go online and fill out repair request. Jared's tried to arse rape me with mark-up and told them to send back. It was half cost going thru tag directly...

I have a couple of Tag Heuers
One my wife got my for my 30th and another I got when my dad passed. Obviously a step below an Omega or Rolex.
I like a comically big Panerai.
If I was buying that is what I would look at.

Yes it will become an addiction, and get shamed by this board for wanting a basic mechanical watch when you can have the modern day technological breakthrough smart watch. The difference between the two is one will be outdated in the garbage in 5 years and the other will be timeless and handed down to your grandkids.
Congrats on the watch. It won't be your last. I bought my first Omega a few years ago and it is one of my daily go to watches.
I know people who buy watches for a few years then sell them to buy the next watch before it gets sentimental emotions attached to them.

Solid choice. I have a collection that includes many of the top brands. I have always been partial to Omega over Rolex and others. Make sure to wear it. Some people end up keeping these in boxes. Don’t be that guy. Enjoy it.

More power to you and spend your money however you want but I just don’t get spending 2k on that. Just me though
I would spend $2k on a watch but I thought the Sramaster was more than that. I have a 20 year old TAG that was given to me and means a lot to me. It was around $1300 in 2005.
