There were already a lot of disenfranchised liberals who voted for Trump just to watch it burn.

If anything all this has brought them back into the Democrat fold. These people may not be social justice warriors but they are disgusted by the sight of police rolling through neighborhoods lighting up people for being on their porches. They're disgusted by the sight of police casually harming people because they're too lazy or simply just enjoy having power over people.

Furthermore, what really makes them go back to the DNC is seeing people coddle these lazy and violent officers. There's "small government conservatives" on this board that are okay with the police doing whatever they want to others. This is how you lose support.

They may not think there's a black lives matter problem but they sure believe there's a problem with police culture and accountability. The police may have collectively handed the election to Biden, who is possibly the weakest challenger candidate in my lifetime.

I don’t like Trump, but I’m voting for him in November. Trump is a lying buffoon, BUT he hasn’t betrayed my trust in his abuse of power save for extending the Patriot Act. The Left can not be trusted with power and I don’t see how anyone who is sane can vote for the Left at this point. It’s either I bow before the Left and admit I’m a piece of shite or I vote for Trump and be a free individual. I never thought it’d come to this, but the Left has forced my hand. I really think I represent the silent majority since I will lie to the pollsters as well. I think there’s a chance Trump wins 40 states due to this.

Opposite for me. I often vote red, but I think I may have to vote for a rapey vegetable before I vote for a retarded toddler. I’ll wait and see what sort of third party morons they can dig up.

Yeah, I'll be voting third party again.

My question is who is voting for a 79 year old to be President? My grandparents are in their early 80’s and I can’t imagine electing them to make any decisions.

You might not believe it but I spent my younger days with a conservative/libertarian bent only to find myself as a 45-year-old man who'll vote for a dalmatian in a party hat over a GOP candidate for as long as I live

That's a pretty unnatural progression.

It's also asinine to write off an entire party, particularly to do it for life.

I was raised to vote blue, that blue supported people like my parents who worked hard and didn’t make much. I voted orange last time because the alternative was atrocious and I didn’t feel like blue was really helping my parents. I will proudly vote orange again, and know many who feel the same.

Yeah, my ideologies haven’t changed because of 2 weeks of justified social unrest. For those with weaker mental construction, maybe it has.

GWB took me 98% of the way there and Trump closed the 2%.

There is no responsibility small enough for me to trust the GOP with it

Then the people you’re talking about are idiots. Unless they live in DC odds are a Democrat is issuing the orders to those cops. Damn, did you fail civics?

Then don't vote to re-elect the liberal leadership in Santa Monica and Long Beach.

I live in Los Angeles, the only vote I cast that has any effect on these cities is for president, and maybe la county sheriff.

What happened in LA metro was attributable to multiple elected officials. Garcetti is the ringleader.

ETA- completely forgot governor, and newsom is a pandering clown also.

Trump is president right now and based on what you said it doesn't seem to be having any effect on those cities.

There are much bigger things at work here than police reform. This is just the vehicle they are using to get where they want. You have been completely manipulated.
