What do you think a cloth mask accomplishes?

The day their mask policy went into place, Monday, I visited Costco to test their policy. The greeter said I needed a mask and had one in hand to provide if I didn't. I responded that I'm unable to wear a mask and he said "awesome" and waved me in. As far as I could tell I was the only person in the building without a mask, yet no one said a peep.
I believe the maskmania is overblown but I will give Costco credit for (a) not forcing the issue, and (b) being ready to provide a mask if needed (and wanted).

The complaining about wearing a cloth mask is about as Karen-level as the bitching about people wanting everything to stay closed.
People aren’t complaining about just wearing a mask. They’re wondering why this policy is just being implemented almost 2 months later. I went to Costco last week, and the employees had to keep taking their masks off, because they’d give instructions to customers and no one could hear them.
Right. How many times did you actually witness this? I was in Costco yesterday and didn't see this happen once.

I live near a grocery store similar to Whole Foods in my town and they have some poor employee sitting out there every single day by the grocery carts wiping and spraying them down. I equate it to the sign spinning guy. But hey maybe those employees will get 25k knocked off their student loans.

All the stores are doing that here

Like the guy selling ponchos in front of every stadium if it's raining...someone will see the opportunity to make a buck selling cheap masks in front of stores

Walmart has a employee at the door counting who has a mask or not

Went to Ingles today. All workers wore masks. About 1/3rd of the customers had them but they were either seniors, black, or obese. The ones that crack me up are the country white boys between 25-40 accompanied by the wife who has got them following them around with a cart wearing a mask. One tall and fit baw about 35 years old with a Bama hat turned away when I walked by. I could tell he was embarrassed.
And no meat rationing. Filled up a cart with the most select cuts of the finest meats and have them resting comfortably in my garage freezer.
