Scientology. Another reason we can't nice things. It's even giving the Russians retarded ideas about trolling. Surprised they didn't use a "MiG-28".

That's like a 15 year old boy trying to impress an 8 year old girl. Pathetic

I guarantee that idiot would have never tried that on an F-18 or even a 30 year old F-14.

loved listening to the play by play in the southern med when intruders, vikings and corsairs on "routine training flights and freedom of navigation exercises" libyan migs and fitters would head their way or towards the "small boys" and a pair of tomcats would get sent in from loitering and it was amazing how quickly the libyans turned around and went home. most of the time...

That's Awesome! One of my best friends was the A-10 base commander up here - used to love his stories like this. Our guys are cocky too.

I remember thinking Rick Rossovich was pretty big, then I saw Arnold throw him around in Terminator.

He did have an older brother in the NFL

Hey Yuri, remember that time that Raptor pilot shadowed your Su-35 for ten minutes and you never knew he was there because of their stealth capabilities?"

"Da Vasili...I remember only because I saw his wingman pull off from shadowing YOU for that same ten minutes"

Meanwhile...back at the O-club at Langley AFB...

"Hey Mac, tell the newbie here about the time you and Franklin ghosted those Flankers over the Med for over an hour before letting them know you guys were there!"

"Oh hell Casey, tweren't no hour..... was only 58 minutes or so.....We figured they were low on fuel by then so we let 'em know we were there before heading back to finish the rest of our three hour CAP excercise..... gotta love that fuel sippin' of the supercruise on them Raptors"

I was there in 87 when the score was USN 1 USAF 0

Kinda hard to shoot down an enemy that is too scared to get airborne when an F-15 was around, so let's just say apples to oranges comparison and call it a day.

Ok...on second thought, let's go there.

During Gulf Storm F-15's scored 28 kills of Iragi a/c to include Mig-29"s, Mig 25's French Mirages and the rest a mix of Mig-21,23's

The USAF lost ZERO F-15's...ZERO....to enemy air action.

The USN had 3 air to air kills, including a helicopter.
Two were F-18 kills and the helo was an F-14.

In contrast the Navy lost the only American plane killed in air to air action when 2 F-18's tangled with 2 Foxbats. One Hornet was destroyed with a missile shot.

Jeez, F-111's had a better kill ratio on airborne Iraqi fighters than the USN by running not one but TWO into the ground while they attempted to chase down the Varks.

And so endeth the lesson....

So at $50 million a piece someone can knock out a carrier for a couple hundred million if we are not prepared.

Very true, being a member of flight crew on the Navy predecessor to the Poseidon (P3-C), we would buzz Russian surface combatants in the Med. until we were couple hundred yards out then turn on our wing mounted search light (as I recall it was an 8Mil. candle power light) and make them change all their 'watches'. Further, during daylight operations, we would 'fly over' their surface combatants and dump our garbage.....and other 'stuff' on them. That kind of stuff I am sure still goes on. Russian pilot was showing off. Am sure we NEVER do that to them in the Med...…...

Fun fact on the F4. There is no governor on the engine. It could literally fly itself into oblivion.

No. The US not us as in OTL. The Captain shouldn't be hung. He should be discharged dishonorably for violating multiple chain of command rules. I believe that should be the maximum punishment. I could see a military court busting him down to O3 and making him retire also. Military rules are different from civilian rules.
