Yeah I mean the state has one area code. No one cares what they do anyway. Are they even on lock down?

Where, specifically, is this happening.

This. At my wife's hospital in Bossier everything is fine. The staff is in very good spirits. If you want overtime you can get it for premium pay.

Only if the society wide impact of overwhelming the hospitals is worse than the society wide impact of continued shutdown.

That should be common sense, but in the last few weeks I have learned that people think doctors are the best people to consult about how to run the world.

Clinics and hospitals are basically shut down due to the "potential of being overwhelmed". Doesn't matter if you are in NYC or in the middle of nowhere. No elective surgeries for the foreseeable future until the "experts decide". Regular docs and surgeons are in a world of hurt right now. I speak of that first hand.

Here comes Zach in the clutch with his usual worthless anecdote.

Everything is fine where Zach is so it must be the case everywhere else

I read somewhere else on this board that hospital staff all over the country outside of a few hotspots are having their hours cut back because elective procedures have been postponed because of COVID-19. Is that not the case?

This is 100% true in St. Louis.

The lack of depth in this analysis is humorous.

If you get a bunch of anecdotes, they’re almost like data.

My problem with these "elective procedures" that are being postponed because of COVID-19, is who is deciding what is "elective", or not. The doctors?

Pretty sure the OP doesn't work.

It doesn't take a rocket scientest to figure out why he didn't even consider the economy. He's a freeloader.

I know you're slow so I'll try to help. The theme of the last 2 days (Trump's speech) has been localization. One tenth of the country is having a problem. The other 9/10 are just fine.
The idea of hospitals being 'overwhelmed' is not true. It's SOME hospitals. Do you understand now?

Do you think this is a new classification ?
