Barkevious Mingo - what is the coolest name in sports, Alex.

He is close to bust territory being that he was the 6th overall pick. The browns were crazy taking him that high.

Probably getting his foot out of the league 6 teams in 6 years now

He was fun during the Oregon game chasing down LaMichael James. Brent loved it on the call.

Staying in the league eight years, avoiding major injury, earning 25 million and qualifying for that sweet pension. I wish I was that much of a bust.

That’s not how it works

If that’s how you view it, then I guess jamarcus Russell isn’t a bust either :lol.

He was definitely a bust in terms of his peak performance. He was never anywhere close to an elite player. The longevity is nice. But that’s like saying Adam Morrison wasn’t a bust because he won two NBA titles.

maybe a bust in terms of what he accomplished in the NFL but at $25 million in eight years says not a bust at life accomplishments

Might not have lived up to what many may have expected him to be, but the dude will be entering his 8th year in the league. Hard to call him a complete bust with that type of longevity on an active roster. And he's earned about $26M over his career with 1.2 coming next year. Not bad.
Look at the rest of the top 10 from his class
1. Eric Fisher - still in the league, 1 pro bowl
2. Luke Joekel - out of the league by 2018, never lived up to the hype
3. Dion Jordan - been suspended almost his entire career for drugs
4. Lane Johnson - 3x pro-bowler, highest paid OL in the league
5. Ezekiel Ansah - 1x all-pro, started off great but has faded the past few years
7. Jonathan Cooper - career journeyman, seldom starter, free agent
8. Tavon Austin- still playing but has never really amounted to much with 3300 total yards in 7 seasons
9. Dee Milliner - hasn't been in the league since 2016 and did absolutely nothing
10. Chance Wormack - still in the league, nothing much of note

Try to tell that to Les Miles and see what happens.

Mingo's NFL career is like Russell Shepard throwing a pass at LSU. you keep waiting for him to do something but it just never happens.

Yikes, that is a terrible top 10! Wonder if that the worst top 10 of all time?

No one calls a player a bust because of “life accomplishments”

Jeff fricking Ireland. The Dolphins were badly in need of offensive linemen but pretty solid at DE with 5X Pro Bowler Cameron Wake and an eventual Pro Bowler in Olivier Vernon. So what does Ireland do? He trades the #12 overall pick and a 2nd round pick to move up to #3 and selects a DE with a torn labrum and a drug and alcohol problem.
