Anyone have any inside info on how the big proposals will go?

1) Remove all private schools and force them to reapply (with no guarantee they will be accepted)

2) Select school multipliers - 1.5 for co-ed, 2.5 for single-sex schools

3) No more split

This seems specifically designed to piss off as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

1.3 seems more reasonable to me, but this isn't terrible.

It needs to end.

1) Remove all private schools and force them to reapply (with no guarantee they will be accepted) this is aimed at 1 maybe 2 schools... this will likely pass

2) Select school multipliers - 1.5 for co-ed, 2.5 for single-sex schools this will certainly pass(no end of split with out this)

3. 60/40 today as to ending some form of the split..

a lot depends on the many other moving parts with this.

3) No more split

The split is dumb. Time for it to go.

No inside info. Hopefully everyone regains sanity and we go no more split. I'm not versed enough in the multiplier discussion but hopefully they figure that out too.

Supposedly Many’s principal did some politics during the North Louisiana meetings and pushed hard for

“The split is here so make it work”. Got the public principals dead set against getting back together.

If those meetings are any indication on the vote the private schools need to jump ship and let the LHSAA sink

None of them will pass.

Proposal #1 which unifies the split sports with a 1.5 multiplier and Proposal #2 which kicks the privates out both require a 2/3 vote to pass.

Neither are going to pass.

Proposal #12 which unifies the split sports, adds a 6A, and issues a 1.25 multiplier probably has the most support but requires a 2/3 vote and won’t pass.

Whatever way is the more stupid way.

LHSAA should be dissolved. Mississippians and Texans should run our high school athletics.

Just curious as to what people think about this. If Bonine legitimately wants the split to end, and public schools are still saying that recruiting is the biggest issue, would it not benefit Bonine to spend the next year doing everything he can to crack down on any and every recruiting violation? I know that takes a lot of time and effort, and it’s often easier said than done, but it seems like that would be a start with respect to appeasing public schools?

Although it wasn’t a big or controversial vote, does anyone have any insight about why the proposal letting principals send a delegate for them failed? I can’t even come up with an argument against that.
