New numbers up on the GIS site:
Total Confirmed: 7,783
(total in Mainland China: 7,678)
Total deaths: 170
Total recovered: 133
As all of these deaths are still only in Mainland China, that keeps the mortality rate at 2.2% with it still out-pacing the Recovered rate.

Whew finally caught up on the past 24 hours of posts. How many times are we going to have to deal with dipshits who can't be bothered to read OP & the GFM page? It's simple... go back to page 1 and start reading. It's better than any book someone can write and will hold you in suspense, make you laugh when you read some of the things said to lighten the moment up, and restore your faith in humanity.
As much as I'd love for him to post pictures and videos on TD, he should keep them to himself until he cashes in. Also he was on a plane for 15 hours after what I'm sure wasn't the best nights of sleep in China as they wre working out all the details. Rest up, when your mind is in a good spot look at your options, and balance keeping yourself in any news stories while giving away the bare minimum.
I'll say this to the rest of the OT baws. I don't know Honkus but recognized the name. This site has shown how much The South is more caring for mankind than the Yankees. Following from the beginning took us through all the ups and downs. I practically lived in this topic since page 3. TD baws are damn fine people... the GFM is just the cherry on top.
ETA: Awesome to hear cousin Honkus made it back safely. Everything still good with mini baw?

Indeed. This has been the first page (this and the original) I open first thing every morning since Friday, and check it throughout the day - not just for the wtf factor, but for legitimate concern.
Don’t know honkus, but glad they made it back!! TD is a helluva place.

I had a huge post typed out last night chronicling our first day on the base but me and lil man fell alseep before I could submit. Now let jags got us up...
I'll just give some cliffs-
-we are not actually under quarantine, per the CDC. We are free to leave after our blood work comes back. We do have to stay on base for 3 days at least, for monitoring
-Ping sat at down with me and answered some questions about our trip. Check out GMA today
-the CDC had a plane on stand-by last night to take blood sample to Atlanta. We managed to get our blood, nose and mouth swabs taken care of, with only a few tears
-parents of the year- on a lighter note we managed to lock ourselves out of the room with both our boys fast sleep on the bed. Facilities here were quick to get the master key in what felt like the longest 15 minutes in history. When we opened the door both boys were still knocked out-

I wanna address the GFM as we've gotten more info. I did a cursory search for return air tickets to JFK for Friday/Saturday. Its MUCH more reasonable than we originally thought.
At the prices I'm seeing we could probably take the non-cheapo route and actually get baby Maxwell a non-lap infant seat, and after all the tacked on baggage fees (we have a lot of baggage to get home as we originally flew international and got 2 free checked backs up to 50lbs each) come out around $1,000. Thats of course if we booked em last night, which we didnt.. we may buy em tomorrrow, effectively rolling the dice that we are cleared to leave friday/Saturday.
For getting the money back on our original flights, we think we could possibly get around $400 back. Not sure if that's total or per ticket, but doing some digging that's what the wife found. Its China Eastern Airlines, tho. We aren't dealing with a Western airlines co. So all bets are off. While I appreciate the effort please do not blast them on our behalf.. just yet at least.
With that being said I could probably just call the GFM off at the current total of $5,175 (
by the way thank you all again.. it is a huge help and relief off our shoulders).., that way POS trolls like TheOcean can sleep at night not worrying if Honk is nickle and diming the OT for an extra couple grand

The people that followed this thread know that you never had your hand out looking for gibs. People wanted to give and your sister facilitated a way.
