I was just looking at the top 100 in Florida and Miami gets plenty talent in 3-4 star FL high school FB players. I’m not saying they should be the stalwart they once were but damn what a fall from grace. They suck.

They are laughably horrible.

This same team physically whipped Free Shoes on both sides of the ball earlier this year for 4 quarters. Man oh man how far those two goon arse schools have fallen.

The day they tore down the Orange Bowl was the day the program died.

South Florida talent is leaving instead of staying.

they are actually staying, but unlike in the past, they have so many more options other than Miami, Florida or Florida State...

They have South Florida, UCF, FIA, and FAU they can go to and still "stay home" if they don't go to Florida or Florida State...

And those programs like FAU and UCF have actually invested into their football program. Miami playing in an NFL stadiums 20 miles from campus hurts them in my honest opinion. Miami has no sense of identity on or off the field.

Hard to win with no serviceable Qb and you can’t blame a coach in year one for not having one.

I am so happy to see it. No fan base deserves it more.

Nobody is picking any of those schools over FSU, UF or Miami.

I went to the Nebraska - Miami game in 2015. Pretty big rivalry from games in the 90s. Stadium was 20% full 15 minutes before kickoff. Maybe 60% full by end of first quarter.
Miami doesn’t care about the Canes anymore

Most of the guys in here blabbering aren't from Miami, I am originally, allow me to explain why miami isn't a college football town.

1) bc the city basically functions 6-7 months a year, thats right, Joe's stone crab, a top 3 restaurant in the US in revenue is only open october - may and has been for 100+ years bc in the summer nobody goes to miami its too hot.

2) The majority of miami is foreigners who have places there, there are many locals but most are from somewhere else, as you can see the marlins, dolphins, heat aren't too packed bc everyone is from somewhere else and a fan of someone else that is bc there isn't much of a local economy, all the rich people work somewhere else.

3) The stadium is in a really poor location, its too far out, and frankly who wants to go watch a football game on saturday when the beach is gorgeous and packed with beautiful women? Sure if you're in baton rouge, football is the only thing to go do on weekends, same with tuscaloosa. In Miami there are 300 other things to go do on the weekend besides watch some kids play football

This is bad. Manny Diaz isn't the answer if he can't get these guys up to beat La Tech.

They couldn't beat FIU, Tech is better than them

1. Hit the beach
2. Go to wynwood grab a drink at one of the countless fun bars
3. go to brickell grab a drink at one of the countless fun bars
4. go to south beach grab a drink at one of the countless fun bars
5. get on a boat
6. go to one of 3 world class malls: bal harbour, aventura, brickell city centre
7. ride jet skis
8. go hit on all the hot girls everywhere
9. eat at any of the amazing restaurants, south of fifth has 5 of the best restaurants in the world within 1 block of each other
10. lincoln road

I could go on and on but i dont have all night here, what do people in baton rouge do? My years there were spent going to tigerland or mellow mushroom to hit on some mediocre southern girls that would be a 2 in miami beach, makes sense everyone is on TD talking about high school recruiting or chatting football, trust me a forum of people who live in south beach isn't gonna be popular at all, those people have a ton of better things to do.

That same FIU team was down 42-7 mid 3rd when Tulane called the dogs off and put in backups. Tulane went 6-6 in the AAC West.

The university doesn’t care and the state of Miami is dead also they moved to those god awful looking adidas uniforms, when they were really going in the early 2000s the uniform game at the u was similar to Oregon’s currently and young kids like that no matter what people think

Wow good point can you imagine if this is USC's future.

The Indy Bbowl has a Pac 12 tie in starting next year so you could actually see them in Shreveport getting slapped around by Army (the other tie in)

USC at least has some hope at the QB position with Slovis and Daniels.

Problem is they're not recruiting well elsewhere

I want to say out of the top 20 recruits in California not one of them went to USC. That seems almost impossible.

People will laugh but they should hire billy Napier. A big name coach won’t have the patience for the admin or the expectations. They need an up and comer who knows how to build a program with sub standard resources and knows the south. They need someone who will take the time to get it right and make it his own.
