Who should the Bengals pick, Burrow or Chase Young

If you want to win in the NFL you need a QB. You have a take a chance on one.

The LSU fan in me says Burrow

The couch GM in me says you need to build the team before getting a QB that can take you there. Getting a good QB with a bad supporting team (whether it be no defense, no OL, no weapons) just ain't it. Unbiased, if I'm Cincy I take Young. Maybe even trade down if I can get an extra first.

Not an LSU fan at all and I think Burrow is going to be an elite pro QB. Young is a future Hall of Famer if he stays healthy, but he won't change a franchise from the ground up.

If I hired Taylor because of his offensive background then I’m going QB first overall

Chase Young. A good pass rush to help their LBs and DBs will help them win more than a rookie QB next year.

It'll likely take them a year or two to rebuild their offensive line before a rookie QB won't be hammered. They need to build outward from the offensive and defensive lines.

In all seriousness, this was among the five worst offensive line performances we have seen in the PFF era with their offensive linemen taking home a PFF pass-block grade of 21.4, the fourth-worst in a single game since 2006 (by far the worst by a Bengals team – next worst came 2017 Week 9 at Jacksonville at 33.7). The Bengals are a QB career killer

Young, take a QB later or via free agency

Bengals are going to be real bad for a couple years. A QB needs actual help to get it going but a DE can do their own thing really without help and if the pieces dont fit together for a few years hit it big on the FA market.

Baker Mayfield isnt even a sure thing to make it out of his rookie contract + option even after the numbers he put up last year so you gotta stick around a bit. And the Browns were in even better shape than the Bungles as it stands

If im Burrow I would dread going to Cincy
