Shreveport actually had a really good rock music scene when I lived there back in the early to mid 90s. Much better than Baton Rouge. I used to go to the Warehouse fairly often. I think it was called maybe Reactor at one time too? There was another place I would go and see a lot of local bands. I think it was called Cell Block but could be wrong. There were a fare share of freaks in that place but it was fun.

This is probably too dated for most, but what was the place downtown on Texas Street in the late 80s that you could get into even if you were under age? Catharsis?
ETA Speaking of South Park Mall, I drove through Shreveport a few months ago and was astonished to discover that the Long John Silver‘s in the mall parking lot is still there. I ate that Long John Silver before we went to see dances with wolves for christ’s sake.

It did in the 70's, too. Anyone remember Axis? That was Danny Johnson's band. Or the Medical Corporation where you could catch Miki Hunnicut singing with John Howe and A-Train.

Mudbugs (actually AA Hockey, not this junior league BS)

Dialing for Thousands on KTAL (my grandma used to record it in case they called her)

Captains games with soft serve in ice cream plastic helmets

Horseshoe Casino actually not being shitty. Went back and it sucked when did that happen?

Louisiana Downs when it actually had good horses racing. It’s a shell of itself now

Hamels Park. Had a season pass. Been gone for 20+ years it seems waiting on someone to bring it back
