This is two years in a row now that you say how many birds venice has and a couple weeks later (or in this case 1 week later) youre complaining about no ducks. What everyone needs to realize is that even if ducks continue to come down to se la, especially venice, there is too much pressure on them. I believe that every year ducks are shifting to the central flyway and that in several years (5 or so), we wont have much of anything left in se la. What is left will be pressured out the friday before the season starts by the mudboat brigade. And just so yall know, my group killed limits both days in venice. No big ducks like we used to, all teal and 4 whistling ducks. The difference in the last 5 years in venice is unreal. Gets worse and worse every year.

If it’s as bad as everyone is saying, I hope a lot of these yahoos sell their surface drives and join another hobby. I enjoyed back in the day when we would pull up to an area, park the boat and paddle in anywhere from a 1/4 mile to a mile to certain spots. Then hit mud flats where you had to legit use a push pole.

This weekend really made me miss the days we used to paddle and push pirogues in and actually saw ducks other than teal.

This. Now as to why that is happening is a really fun discussion.
