SIAP..... didn’t see it anywhere. Pretty interesting video. Just a little rundown: This reporter talks about how Ed Orgeron is sitting back letting everyone think whatever they want about him personally while he runs the LSU program the way other big time programs wish theirs were run. He specifically mentions Harbaugh and the way he runs Michigan.

He was reporting at Auburn the day we lost it the last second in Miles’ last game as coach. Said he was in the tunnel with LSU admins and Joe Alleva and they all knew at that point it was Les’ last game as coach. Said Les’ wife could not even look at him and that it was a very painful moment. This reporter well stated he was one of the many who was completely against the Orgeron hire, but is on record stating that he was very wrong.

Talks about how Orgeron saw the problem, fixed it and got out of the way. Says that Orgeron is putting so much pressure on other programs because of the way LSU was able to keep the same personnel and completely flip their offensive philosophy to run this offense flawlessly. It’s worth a watch if you’re bored and wanting a little football talk fix during Florida hate week.

What's most interesting about this change is - the Patrick Surtain, Jr. incident notwithstanding, the current staff is packed with elite recruiters. Aranda is about the only introvert that the player kind of has to be enamored of Aranda and the defensive style, if O, Pork Chop or Raymond can't get it done on personality.

So, with an elite recruiting staff (that is doing extraordinarily well outside of our traditional recruiting base - best I can remember) AND the ability to turn the offense in one year is remarkable.

Having said all of that - we've been here before - we've been 5-0. This is all window dressing until we get to the playoffs. Through 1/9/2012, we were arguably the best team of the previous 10 years.

Since then? We're an occasionally great team that remains on the outside looking in.

I hated the hire at the time, but am fully on-board now. I was wrong, and I’m beyond ecstatic about being wrong.. He has won me over with what he’s done on and off the field.

And I loved that video. I saw it last week, but certainly recommend those that haven’t seen it watch it.

As of 10-7-2019, O certainly has this LSU football program headed in the right direction and the future looks bright.

I love Coach O but he didn’t outsmart anyone. The best thing he did was realize he is NOT the smartest guy and went and found some folks smarter than he was and let them work.

He is also leaving enough money in the salary pool to pay those guys and keep them.

Not knocking O but let’s not suddenly act like he’s a rocket surgeon.

Ed’s best attributes are willingness to change and being progressive in the program, even with aggression in game situations.

We’re on the forefront of a lot of new things, some talked about in the media, and some not.

Coach O is building the next SEC dynasty. And YES, it was all outlined in the binder.

I think if you named 4 things that O needed to do to be successful at LSU it would be

1. Recruit at an Elite level
2. keep the Defensive staff together
3. Find someone to fix the offense
4. Not micromanage

and in the last year I think he is starting to click on all those things.

A bit of stretch. He made a great hire in Joe Brady. Before that he was shoving Ensminger, Les' TE coach, down our throats.

This whole "outsmarted college football" could be viewed very differently in a month

We are finally equaling Bama and Clemson on incentives for our recruits. O is a master on the recruiting trail.

What he as others once again fail to mention about coach O is he has been on the staffs of some great HC's and has learned from them. Most importantly....how to delegate which he didn't do at Ole Miss and he readily admits that.

Don't know how much he speaks with Dennis Erickson or Jimmy Johnson, but he talks with Pete Carroll a lot and we all know about John Robinson.
