The offensive line still can’t hold padding blocks well. Last year, we were sacked a very high percentage of play action calls. Coaches fix that by going shotgun instead and getting rid of the ball quickly. Brady is helping the o-line flaws.

People said to do these thing last year.

Spread them out. Attack blitzes by running quick routes into the vacated spaces. Get rid of the ball quickly

Gonna make on OL look a lot better.

Clemson doesn't have 5 first rounders on their OL they hang with Bama because even the best athletes can o lay go so far so fast

To the last two replies, I'm seeing a LOT of plays where Joe is getting 4 to 5 seconds in the pocket. No quick release has really been needed. There are exceptions but I'm just saying that I've seen some very extended pocket time on average compared to last year.

Pretty sure LSU was picked to win 6 or 7 games last year.

Well yeah of course, he's doing amazing, but that mentality leads to crediting our old AD for the hire lol.

Who hired Will Wade?

That guy also fricked up the Herman hire and the Jimbo hire.

The new offense consists of higher percentage throws and less time blocking, so you're kind of wrong. Brady's offense is the main reason we're seeing such a big change.

Sure that's fair but also we are sending more people out on routes keeping offenses on their toes and doing a lot of other things that help a pass rush

One of those things is absolutely punishing defenses when they blitz

Several drives were killed by bad drops and no open guys. Blocking was abismal and is superb this year in comparrison, I shouldn't have to explain how huge that is for an offense of ANY kind, but it's a position group people know the least about.
Dude. You seem like a nice guy, but you don't really have any idea what you're talking about. We have one of the best offenses in the country. The best in LSU history. Go look at the numbers. It's insane. People who have been close to the situation have said that our offense looks like the Rams and Saints and that Joe Brady is going to be a head coach in a matter of years. What we are seeing is a monumental change from last year. This offense is miles better than even the 2013 Mett, Jarvis, and OBJ offense. It's OK. You don't really understand what's going on here and how different things are. You just have no clue. I'm sorry buddy.

I didn't say it wasnt an amazing offense, I was referring to last year in that quote. Keep in mind I also said in comparison, not overall superb. But they're doing way better this year.

I know, I was saying if we take that road and use the same logic we'd be stuck praising that jackass lol

I referenced last year. That's all you got based on what I wrote?

I was a all state right tackle and walked on at troy, I know a bit on the subject lol
Then you should definitely know better. Sorry bud.

Did you know that Brady wrote our new playbook?

the scheme is helping with oline blocking

we are no longer going into max protection( limiting the qbs options and inviting more defenders near the los) and are spreading teams out ( making them cover the entire field and getting defenders away from the los).

A lot of people don't understand this either. Blocking assignments and play coordination are part of scheming as well.

Bro, it's all Brady.

He's making the offensive line look better.

We aren't just running into brick walls either.

I'd hold off on the great aspect until this offense has faced more test. We'll see more when we play Fla and Auburn. Of course the big test for this offense and the defense, hell, the whole darn team, comes when they play against an elite team.

Seeing this a lot. Last year wasn’t as bad as people are making it out because it doesn’t fit the narrative. We made huge strides last year on offense. By the end of the year Joe was very, very good.

But the biggest factor is Joe fricking Burrow.

Bro u remove Joe Brady out of the picture and it’ll be back to struggling on offense and the oline giving up sacks. I do think Joe has improved this offseason as he’s had a whole year under his belt to develop chemistry with the receivers and his own personal development. The receivers have improved because of Joe Brady creating creative ways for them to practice catching. Nevertheless it’s Joe’s scheme which is why this thing is working so well

Give a lot of credit to burrow because this offense would be totally different with Brennan

I think most credit goes to Coach O at this point. He had a vision of what he wanted his offense to look like and Canada wasn’t it. He made a change and got a 10 win season out of what he had when it was supposed to be a 6 to 7 win year.

I'll give O credit for getting Brady here and getting the offense together finally , but we lost two games we shouldn't have last year.
