The reason I and many others stay completely clear of this board during games has nothing to do with this board showing “concern”.

Let's please try to separate Dinardo and Archer from Hallman.

Dinardo and Archer were good coaches who had success - at LSU. Now, for different reasons, they didn't have long-term success here, but they simply don't deserve mention in the same breath as Hallman.

Dinardo tied the SEC-W twice (losing the tiebreaker both times to an Alabama school). Dinardo led LSU to three straight bowl wins.

Archer won a conference co-championship. Both Dinardo and Archer led 10-win seasons.

Hallman? Couldn't spell win if you spotted him the "w" and the "n". Hallman cheats at monopoly and still loses. Elvis could have easily outcoached Hallman and he was dead for over a decade already.

Let's put it another way, every single LSU head football coach, who has had more than 1 season at the helm, left the school with an overall winning record at LSU. Every single one - except Curley Hallman. In 126 years of football.

Word.

People need to just shut up and enjoy the season. It's rare to see this type of offense. Quit the nonstop complaining about the defense.

I hate that you're right

But there's no way in hell I'm living through that again. I'll go off the grid and live off the land with a total and complete disconnect from society before I'll ever endure that heartbeat again.

And frickin Hallman was selected because he was the genius behind Brett Favre’s success and he would take $225,000 for the job.

Shut-up, Neil. This fan base deserves greatness. Just because some folks complain on a message board you feel the need to post something stupid like this. You dirty rotten bastard you!

Yes, thank you! I arrived at LSU as a student in 1991 and didn't get to experience a winning season as a student. Hallman was a terrible coach and a worse person.

In 1993, I stayed in the stadium until the very end of a 58-3 beatdown by Florida, the worst loss in Tiger Stadium. Soaking in all that misery made the 1997 win over #1 Florida all the sweeter. DiNardo completely turned the program around. He's a hero in my book.

I was one of the few who stayed for that Florida game...I would not let my friends leave.

I swore I would be there then, and I would be there when we won it all.

Ten years later...

Tickets to most LSU home games are dirt cheap. And we still cannot sell them all.

The LSU admin is not the chief cause of fan disengagement. Or, it is every Power5 school's admin that is responsible.
