I mean we are passionate fans. We care. Therefore I feel we deserve the best.
If we only talked good about ourselves, we would run out of things to say. Conversation about our struggles is really the only interesting thing to talk about.
But the sky is not falling like some think.

Seriously... I remember winning the Independence Bowl and it was like winning a Championship.
Same thing with the 97 Florida win. These fans are spoiled as hell.

You think they are less demanding in Tuscaloosa? It’s part and parcel with being a power program.
These people who want to lower expectations are bizarre

Don;t know that I actually watched a half dozen games during those years. Rarely on tv and I could not attend in person. Listened on the radio and read about it in the papers.
Don't remember much discussion about whiffed tackles and porous line-play against inferior teams. I recall us just getting man-handled by superior players and riddled by better offenses.
Maybe the broadcasters and sports writers didn't convey the individual laziness and poor form back then that I visually witness these last 4 games on TV.
But I do recognize unacceptable fluffiness these days that I haven't seen before.

The majority of this fan base was just learning to read and write at the time of those two clowns .

Get over yourself.
No one is upset about winning. Many are just voicing justifiable concerns about the defense.
Most of us thought the D would be good. We have a good nucleus of players, got back Chaisson and added some quality newcomers. No one could envision the injuries.

Don’t blame the fans. Blame the LSU administration. Granted, technology is responsible for part of the apathy. People can watch the game and every replay at home. On some big plays LSU won’t show the replay. This pisses fans off.
However, IMO, the biggest part of the reason for apathy has to do with the cost of LSU tickets. Tickets have become so pricey for the average LSU fan that many of the real die hard fans have chosen not to afford buying tickets and traveling from Houma or Alexandria to watch the game.
LSU has made parking so difficult for anyone who doesn’t want to pay $800+ per/yr to buy parking passes. Who wants to hike a mile with an ice chest and walk past thousands of empty parking spots waiting for fans who wait to get to the game at 5:30pm and leave in the 3rd quarter.
IMO, they should take away all parking passes (except for right around the stadium) and let all fans pay (say $25 per vehicle) to bring their car on campus. You can bring 10 people in your car but you have to pay $25 to come on campus with your vehicle. That way die hard fans who are dedicated enough to show up at 5am and tailgate all day deserve to be able to tailgate closest to the stadium.
If LSU lowered the prices to buy tickets fans will come. The question is how much. If LSU allowed access to decent parking and tailgating fans will come. I’m talking tailgating very close to the stadium. LSU needs to attract the fans who are most dedicated, not fans who have the most money.
Obviously, there is money involved for LSU and big donor boosters will always get their way. However, there is a “happy medium” between lowering costs and adding convenience for dedicated fans or losing money. My point is, if LSU made game tickets $25 per game season tickets would sell out. Obviously that’s too low but you get my point. So, what ticket price is low enough to sell out the stadium? If LSU is losing money because thousands of fans are either not attending or leaving early. The question is how much does LSU lower the cost and add convenience to attract more fans?

This statement proves to me that you weren't a fan then. I lived through the ARCHER Hallman years and DiNardo was a program saver for us compared to the first two.
