Let's have a little fun and make some predictions. I'll start.

1. Houston
2. Los Angeles Clippers
3. Los Angeles Lakers
4. Utah
5. Denver
6. Golden State
7. Portland
8. New Orleans
9. San Antonio
10. Dallas
11. Oklahoma City
12. Sacramento
13. Memphis
14. Minnesota
15. Phoenix

When I look at our roster, every time I think, "there is no way that there are 8 teams better than us in the West." Then I look at how loaded the West is, and I cringe. I believe we have what it takes to get into the playoffs.

What do y'all think? Let me hear your predictions

i'll play

1. Nuggets - Semi safe bet and i'm ready to see MPJ get after it
2. Clippers - Could very easily get the #1 but i'll say it might take them a little time to gel
3. Golden State - I personally dont think they will take that big of a step back and it wouldnt surprise me if they get the #1 seed. I cant see them falling any lower than #3
4. Houston - No idea how well the Harden/Westbrook experiment will go so i cant really put them as a better regular season team than they were last year
5. Utah - I think #3 is the ceiling and #7 is the floor
6. Portland - IMO they take the biggest hit with so many teams getting better in regards to chances to get out of the West or at least to the Conference Finals
7. Los Angeles - Eh, whatever
8. San Antonio - I think its close between San Antonio, Sacramento, Dallas and the Pels. As much as I want to say the Pels i'll go the safe bet and be pleasantly surprised if we do get it. Whoever gets in will have earned it, it's going to be brutal.

1. Utah
2. Denver
3. Clippers
4. Houston - will lose to GSW in playoffs
5. GSW
6. Lakers - will get swept by Clippers
7. Portland
8. San Antonio
9. New Orleans
10. Sacramento
11. Dallas
12. OKC
13. Minnesota
14. Memphis
15. Phoenix

and i think 9,10,11,12 all finish with at least 40 wins, but the 8th spot will have 47 wins.

My head says the Pels have no chance to make the playoffs, because the west is too deep. But somebody in that top tier could collapse, because of injuries, or something else unforeseen. I feel like New Orleans will improve as the season progresses, and it will be good enough to get in.

1. Lakers
2. Clippers
3. Utah
4. Denver
5. Houston
6. Golden State
7. Portland
8. New Orleans
9. San Antonio
10. Minnesota
11. Dallas
12. Sacramento
13. Oklahoma City
14. Memphis
15. Phoenix

1. Rockets
2. Jazz
3. Clippers
4. Lakers
5. Warriors
6. Pels
7. Nuggets
8. Blazers

I think Denver comes back down to earth a bit. Utah the surprise contender. Warriors vs Lakers in a crazy 1st round. Mavs and Kings just miss out. San Antonio finally misses the postseason.

I think your top four is legit, if not necessarily in that order.

It’ll be tough for the Pels to make the playoffs. The roster will need a little time to gel. And the West is tough. I think Utah is going to be trouble for everybody.

San Antonio and Minnesota will be in the conversation, as well... OKC is sorta in no man's land, Dallas is years away, and the rest are just terrible

1. Nuggets
2. Rockets
3. Jazz
4. Kings
5. Pelicans
6. Clippers
7. Warriors
8. Thunder

9. Spurs- Oldest team in the league fades down the stretch
10. Blazers- Worst frontcourt in league. No depth.
11. Lakers- Injury and age catch up to them.
12. Mavs- 2 man team not enough.
13. Wolves- Underachievers.
14. Suns- Confused, muddled group.
15. Grizzlies- Tanking on purpose.

Warriors still win the West.
