I'm not gonna wear a hundred and something dollar pants to work in. They're just gonna get ripped to shreds, and I'll be pissed I wasted that money

Morons with disposable income? Well, shite, what business would look at that and say 'Hell no! Gross! Keep your money!'

I live in Denver where there’s lots of hipsters and I see nor wear any Carhartt ever.
I work in the oilfield north of Denver every day where I wear and see Carhartt every day.
OP is making shite up.

A little bit of this, and a little bit of that. What I can do is destroy clothes that aren't actually made to work in

Are you familiar with google?
Posted on 8/28/19 at 2:45 pm to Dragoon
Because people who don't need it wear the brand for style.

Probably because contractors like my father-in-law have been wearing the same Carharrt clothes for the last 20 years. Not getting a lot of return purchases out of those frugal fricks.

Carhartt has become the brand of hipsters and white wanna-be-thugs.
Why does dressing like you do manual labor appeal to these groups?
You gay? Carhartt has been streetwear for years. The oilfield and construction worker demo was ages ago.
Hipsters and thugs not wearing it.
It's a skate brand now, Dickies is too. Like Vision Street Wear in the 80's. Get over it grandpa.

It's the next evolution for the Lumberjack Hipster...perhaps their weekend garb now.

Ah gotcha
I have a few pairs of pants just a bit south of 100 bucks
But they don’t get destroyed in work
