A lot has been said about Eric Reid on this site and people dis-owning him because of how he acts now. Until this I kind of didn't take a stand, because none of us actually knows what ER went through growing up in Geismar. But for all of us that grew up in Louisiana, we can assume what he went through.

That being said after this kind of crap he is pulling, who really cares about his plight "if he had one." You want to act like a thug, then get treated like one! Until he changes who he is, I for one will choose to remember him as a Tiger when fame and fortune had not gotten into his head! I refuse to recognize anything he has done since!

Eric Reid is dead to me. He is a pawn in a much larger game he doesn’t understand.

He went through the horrors of growing up upper middle class with college graduate parents in a community that completely embraced and celebrated his whole family . All that while being a true physical specimen with incredible physical gifts. Oh the horror.

I grew up in Monroe and all I remember was how racist black people were, not the other way around. The school was primarily black. The minority always gets the hate.

ER has the right to stand up for whatever cause he believes in. Most people hide and are too scared to stand up and speak out on any situation or circumstance that effect anyone. What is most sad is that many call themselves followers of Christ but refuse to be a light that shine in dark places. What good is salt if it has lost its savor. How many of Christ followers were in the crowd when he was persecuted and accused of charges he never committed. His followers didn’t speak then and today they still don’t speak up. God despise cowards. You won’t speak out for another and the same will be done onto you when your turn comes around.

The ER threads always go straight to hell and quickly. I'm not sure why folks insist on discussing this lowlife.

Yeah ! He stood up for Marxism! He stood up for societal chaos! He stood up for the destruction of the American social fabric! So brave ! So courageous! I smell an ESPN film and a statue in his future. If only he’d transition and quit all that toxic masculinity football bs....

I hope every black 2020 recruit stops by and read how you guys constantly shite on a former Tiger (every other day) who stands up for what he believes is right when it comes to social justice. You guys are whats wrong with the this country. A bunch of privileged "keyboard warriors".

I hate they way modern Christians have completely bastardized the teachings of the Bible to push an agenda.

Guess we’re fricked then because current and former players are doing the same thing.

Shut it down, boys. Make it a HBCU so they don’t call us privileged anymore
