I wanted DC to win. Don't like how Stipe definitively lost the first fight and then did nothing for a rematch.

Maybe the 3rd fight won’t turn out to be an Arlovski vs Sylvia 3rd match.

Stipe got fricked by 4 eyepokes in the first fight. The 4th eyepoke set up the KO. Almost got him again like that in the first round tonight. Stipe deserved that rematch.

DC was already slowing down tremendously in the 3rd/4th. Is it bc it’s the first time being that deep since his jump back up to hw? Is it bc he’s 40? It was definitely helped by that body work by stipe.
I hate these two fighting bc I know one has to lose. Love both these guys

Stipe got better each round. Early on it was all Cormier, second round was a little more even, third round was very close, and then the fourth round Stipe really turned it on.
Props to DC though, he gave Stipe all he could handle.

I'll be completely honest, I always thought their first fight was flukey to an extent. The eye poke and Stipe just fighting stupid in there with DC got him smoked. I think tonight was much more indicative of the talent level of Stipe. He held his own wrestling with DC, used his reach, and showed he still has huge power in his hands.
Stipe doesn't move the needle because he's not a big shite talker but I love watching him fight. One of the greatest HW's ever.
Stipe vs Ngannou II is going to be awesome. I still think Ngannou is the future of the UFC.

I really don’t understand some of the analysis of this fight. So many of you are showing how little about fighting you know. DC wasn’t dominating and simply got caught with his hands down during the 4th RD when he was tired. Stipe was the better fighter tonight and won.
