More Famous Oklahoman- Mickey Mantle or Garth Brooks?

While there are a lot of deserving names in contention (Chuck Norris, T Boone Pickens, Ron Howard), I think the debate comes down to these two. I think it's Garth at this point.

Mickey Mantle just because he had more time to get famous. There is a whole generation that is dead who adored Mantle and passed that down to their descendants. The Yankees have the biggest fanbase in the country and every single one of them knows MM. Not every one knows Garth. When is the last time he put out a hit?

And tons of 16-25 year olds hate country and dont know who Garth is.

Mickey mantle I’ve never ever heard a Garth brooks song in my life. Mickey is a legendary yankee. And baseball is great while country music stinks.
