Best would be a summertime trip to Big Sky Montana. Absolutely beautiful area. Fly fishing on the Gallatin River, lots of hiking.

Dad had this weird idea to charter a yacht. It seemed like a terrible vacation at the time, but looking back, we learned a lot and became closer as a family thanks to our captain.

can't tell you how many big family vacations where "we rented a giant air bnb on the beach and everyone is gonna be there and it wouldn't be the same without you it's gonna be so much fun" I've said NO to. I get the guilt trip...but, you missed the last 3 big family vacations....yup and I'll miss the next 10

I very much love my family but those trips where you’re 15 deep in the same house for a week just aren’t my thing anymore. It’s more fun for everyone if I stay at home

Best: Solo trip to Chicago last summer. There’s something to be said about doing whatever you want, whenever you want.

Worst: St. Pete, Florida in 2005. We were there during Hurricane Dennis. Tons of tornados and a bunch of flooding. It could’ve been far worse but it sucked.

Best - Beaches Resort Turks and Caicos

Worst - dad making us drive 24 hours straight to outer banks of North Carolina when I was a kid. I felt like I was going to die the whole time. My parents were divorced so he was the only one who Drove. We ended driving through Atlanta during Olympic bombing.

Worst: Driving to Atlanta. Got carjacked along the way in Montgomery.

Best: Barcelona when I hit 21. Mexico City was also surprisingly a blast.

Worst: my exes parents were big trashy casino people from Dallas so we took a ‘vacation’ to Shreveport where they spent 3 nights at Horseshoe. They never left the hotel/casino. Most days I just walked around downtown shreveport to kill time. This was before Uber so not a many choices. I had to sit there for almost 4 days and listen to all of their strategies. They all lost money. We broke up a week after that trip. I think I may have played a total of an hour and won $50.

Best: all inclusive golf and spa resort in Cabo with a group of friends.

Worst: Went on a cruise with an ex girlfriend and a group of her friends. Trashy fat people, screaming kids, cringe-inducing trashy behavior from her friends, ridiculous prices for everything, and we fought the whole time.

Sounds like a Carnival cruise.

Best: Grand Canyon

Worst: Caribbean cruise which confirmed cruises do not appeal. Islands were beautiful but would prefer to fly to one vs travel by ship.

Best, 10 days on a yacht in the BVI's.
Worst was probably skiing. I don't like going fast on a slippery slope.

Best: New Zealand south island

Worst: Not a bad vacation, but driving out to big bend with my dad in the 80's. Sleeping bags on rocks a couple of nights in 40 degree weather.

Someone in the family selected Gatlinburg for all of us to meet up with and spend 5 days. Tourist trap. Best part of Gatlinburg was the bypass around it. If it wasn't for Ole Smokey Moonshine with live singers it would have been a total bust.

An older guy that I deal with in business found out I went to Gatlinburg. He said they went and had a good time. He asked me if we want on the pottery tour?? That pretty much sums up Gatlinburg in my opinion.

Never never ever never never again. Ever.

Worst: Disney and it ain't even close. And it wasn't really a vacation, I had to be there anyway.

I can't think of anything worse than spending days in a swamp with a bunch of lard asses waiting in long lines and then returning to my insanely overpriced 1.5 star hotel.

If this was your experience, you did Disney wrong.

Im not saying it should be the greatest trip ever but you obviously didn't do your research.

1) you went at the wrong time of year.
2) you stayed at the wrong resort.

I'm sure you'll never go back but try staying at one of he luxury resorts and going during November or January. It's nicer weather and fewer people.
